This is the dog we have named "Tiny Tim". He is the little one that had to have a leg amputated. He is lying on the vet table shortly after getting out of the kennel...he ISN'T DEAD...he has been knocked out along with another dog to get cleaned up. The leg they had to ampuate is the front one that he is laying on.

The dogs are doing wonderful and many are finding homes. We still
have some searching for their piece of "heaven on earth". Here is who we are still looking for homes for:
Alaskan Malamute: He is turning into a big teddy bear. Now that he has been neutered, his very infected ear taken care of, and getting proper food and lots of attention, he is a really sweet dog.
Both Longhaired Shepherds: One is in a foster home who says he is a living doll, just loves to give kisses and be loved on. The other one is at the shelter enjoying the large play yards and playmates. They are both neutered now, also with current shots and heartworm negative.
White German Shepherd: She is slowly gaining weight and is also a sweetheart of a dog. We can't spay her yet because of her severe underweight, but her shots are current and she is heartworm negative. We are going to let her go ahead and go to a home where we think she will do better with one-on-one attention.
American Eskimo mix: Very sweet, active dog. LOVES to play and be played with. Has the Eskie personality. Also is fixed, all shots, heartworm negative.
Terrier mix aka "Tiny Tim" is the one that needed the leg amputated. Has had his surgery and is doing WONDERFUL. His foster home was going to keep him but decided to let him go to the PERFECT home due to them having so many animals already. Also has shots and is heartworm negative.
Airedale: The same foster family that has Tiny Tim also has the Airedale. They will also let it go to the PERFECT family. Has shots, fixed and heartworm negative.
Possibly the 2 Shih Tzu mixes. Someone was going to come from Oregon for them but they are still with us. We have been trying to get ahold of them.
The dogs are doing good but the bills are starting to come in. We had a bill of over $700 on the Malamute alone. I have NO IDEA what Tiny Tim's bill turned out to be.
This shelter receives no government funding. It exists by receiving donations, adoptions, fundraisers and membership dues. The shelter is asking help in finding homes for these poor dogs and any help in meeting the veterinary expenses for medicines, surgeries, etc.... If you would like to
help please email Cindy Willoughby at BenldAAP@aol.com.
Will keep you up to date on the outcome. THANK YOU for all of your help!!!!

I just talked to Dorinda that has the Chow. Buddy is doing WONDERFUL. He is fully housebroken, won't bother anything that is not his, is GREAT with the other animals-even the cats, and just LOVES her to death. He will get the whole body wiggle going whenever he sees her. She says she wants to videotape him doing
that-it is SOO CUTE!!!!
The lady that took the Schnauzer mix does her own little rescue ring. She found a WONDERFUL home for BettyLou. She is now living in a MANSION. The new owners are RICH, she has another doggie playmate that she enjoys, two kids aged 9 and 12 (I think) and a stay-at-home mommie. They just love her and BettyLou has become the mom's shadow, follows her all over the house and wants to be close to her at all times.
The white german shepherd....she is leaving for Florida next Tuesday. She is being adopted by a SUPER lady there that has experience with animal rehab and lives on a 15 acre horse farm. She works out of her home also so "Willow" will have someone with her all the time. Jenny named her Willow because after what she has been through she is like a willow tree...she can bend without breaking.
Will let you know more when I have more news.

Great News!!!!! We are down to 3 dogs from the 19 we rescued!!!
The ones we have left are:
The Alaskan Malamute: He is now neutered, heartworm negative, and current on shots. He is turning into a big old teddy bear. He is now looking for someone to give him lots of love and attention for his remaining years. He is quite a mellow fellow.
The American Eskimo mix: Heartworm negative, current on shots, fixed. This dog is a love, "loves to play" and "loves attention". Small dog--maybe 20-25 pounds. White with gold markings.
One of the longhaired Shepherds: He is neutered, heartworm negative, current on shots. Now that he has discovered outside he loves to be out playing and is getting along well with other playmates. Does good inside the shelter with his
kennel so will be a cinch to get into a housebreaking routine.
I know that I have had MANY inquires about adopting Tiny Tim and I am sure that others of our group have also. Tiny Tim is now a Permanent Resident at the foster home he was in. They can't bear to part with him.
Thank you one and all for your encouragement, assistance and the outpour of love that has been shown to these poor babies......may they now have the loving homes that they have been denied for SOO LONG.
