"Chewy"
Chewy is still a pup, and likes to play and chew on rawhides. I gave him one of my old house shoes for something to play with....(I know it was probably a bad idea, but he hasn't even torn it up)

I dropped him off at the vet today, and he is getting neutered, tested for heartworms, parasitic worms, and getting all vaccinations. Vet thinks he's under 1 year old, and he weighs 50 lbs. Looks to be in good health. I'll know more later today when I hear from the vet.

Chewy is very friendly with my two weimaraners, constantly wagging his tail. Very friendly with the other dogs in the neighborhood that come up to our fence. He barks to let me know if someone is walking on the street. He is very good with people. Doesn't seem to be afraid of anyone, and he's very friendly. He is very docile and submissive. Rolls on his back for a belly rub, walks well on a leash, and rides well in the car.

"Bogie"
What a handsome devil!

What a looker! Bogie is not quite 1 year old yet, but he's already a heartbreaker, isn't he? Like his namesake, he's a classic. He has striking good looks . . . and a great temperament. In fact, he's been temperament tested by several trainers. They all agree: he's just an all-around great dog!

Bogie's foster mom says he is "exuberant" with his affection, friendly and playful. And there's a bonus: he's already completed basic obedience training! His adopter should make sure he continues to build on the good manners that he has developed.

An engaging and affectionate boy, Bogie hasn't met anyone he doesn't love. Although Bogie has no apparent issues with other animals outside the stress of kennel environments, we would like to find a home where he's the only animal in residence.

Given Bogie's exuberance and strength, a home without children is preferred unless they are really big kids. A fenced-in yard is a necessity for this guy who loves to run like a colt and play with his toys in addition to long walks on the leash. By the way, Bogie is house trained, crate trained and loves to ride in the car.

Bogie's adopter should share his exuberance for physical activity and commitment to higher education--boy is this guy smart! He also enjoys playing ball, rolling in the grass, and Frosty Paws (doggie ice cream).

Can you give him all this, and more?

"Waggs"

Waggs is a 3 yr. old border collie in desperate need of a good home. He is one of many dogs at a private rescue. He has had all of his shots, is neutered, has been on a regular worming program and has been on heartworm preventative. Waggs is staying in a kennel at the present time. He has a lot of energy and needs a family dedicated to wearing him out. An obedience or agility oriented family would be ideal. Considering that he has not been receiving the attention he so deserves due to the large number of dogs at the rescue it would be best if he was placed in a one-dog home. He particularly seems to like women. Older children would probably be ok. He has not been tested with cats or other animals. He is located in northern Indiana.
