"Opie"
Opie -- Pekingese male, born in July, 2005 -- is a lovely golden fawn and cream with a self mask. 12 pounds, he loves to be petted and made a fuss over. He has a puppy-ish desire to play. He likes chase games, other small dogs and adults. He sometimes gets frightened when someone from behind tries to pick him up, therefore, we prefer to place him in an adult only home. He likes his crate, he is housebroken but must be watched as he will stand or lie by the door when he wants to go out. He loves being outdoors where he can watch the world go by and needs tempted with treats to come indoors. Photos shows his coat length on arrival and his cut down the next day. He is a very, very pretty boy.

All his shots are up to date, he is heartworm negative, and he was neutered on 08-09-07 -- Opie is with Christine, his foster Mom, in Mentor, OH -- if Opie is the little guy you have been looking for, please contact Audrey at Audrianne@Voyager.net for an Application to Adopt, Home Visit, Adoption Donation (his expenses) Adoption Contract, References Required. Opie would be picked up in Mentor, OH (east of Cleveland) as we do not ship or transport.

"Chauncy"
Chauncy is a 3 year old Pekingese male who was surrendered to rescue as the owner had a very ill 6 week old baby who required all of the parents attention. Because of this, Chauncy has forgotten some of his house breaking rules.

Chauncy carries a very nice red coat, white chest and black muzzle. He weighs 17 pounds. He gets along with other dogs but is not very good with car rides, he drools. He's great at getting groomed, he's good in the tub and he seems to love attention. Chauncy has been completely vetted, he has all his shots and has been neutered. He walks well on a lead and is crate trained.

Chauncy is in Mentor, OH with foster Mom, Christine and her two Cocker Spaniels. Christine clipped him down into a very short summer cut and will reinforce his housebreaking rules. Chauncy has a loving, sweet personality and with being so young he would give a new "forever" family many years of love and companionship.

If Chauncy is the boy of your dreams, please contact Audrey -- Audrianne@Voyager.net for an Application to Adopt, Home Visit, Adoption Donation (his expenses) Adoption Contract, References Required. Chauncy would be picked up in Mentor, OH (near Cleveland) as I do not ship or transport.

07-26-07 Update:
Christine cut him down for the summer. So far, he has done NOTHING in the house -- she apparently is taking him out often enough -- and knows when he goes to the door he needs to go out -- (he does not bark or whine--just sits there). This just proves, she watches him closely and KNOWS his language. She is going to try to teach him to "speak" at the door.

"Toby"
Temporarily Unavailable

Toby is a darling oversized male Pomeranian. When in full coat he carries a heavy long red sable coat. He weighs 14 pounds and will be 3 years old on August 17, 2006. He's had all his shots, is heartworm negative, and has been neutered.

Because Toby does not like children, he's been passed around from family to family and, it's obvious that in the past he has been abused. I was told by his last family he does not like to be caged - and that he is not housebroken.

Toby is a very happy little guy -- he loves treats and will dance on his hind legs. He knows "sit" so someone in the past has worked with him. He loves attention, he will talk back to you and loves human companionship. A senior home without grandchildren would be perfect for Toby.

If Toby is the little one you are looking for, contact his foster Mom, Audrey at Audrianne@Voyager.net for an application to adopt. Home visit, Adoption Contract, Adoption donation (his vet bill), References Required. I do not ship or transport. Toby would be picked up at my home in Mentor, Ohio.

UPDATE:
Toby has been moved into a foster home in the Youngstown, OH area. He gets along with 8 other dogs and is learning to go outdoors to potty.

"Buster"
Buster is a very special Pekingese male. He was due to be euthanized because he is visually impaired. He is such a young boy -- between 4-6 years of age -- we felt he still had many years of love to give someone, even though his vision is nearly gone. He is a lovely golden red and weighs 11 pounds.

Buster will be completely vetted on Sept. 20 2005 -- then ready for his "forever home". He has all shots, booster, parvo, rabies, heartworm negative and is neutered. Buster is extremely gentle and loving -- he seems to know when others want to help him. A home with another gentle Peke would be perfect for Buster. Buster is in a foster home south of Columbus, Ohio with Teresa, 740--226-1464 who can give you more details about Buster.

For more information or an Application to Adopt, please contact Audrey -- Audrianne@Voyager.net -- Home visit, Adoption Contract, Adoption Donation, References Required.

Mikey is a 2 year old, 13 pound, golden fawn, Pekingese male that was picked up as a stray by a southern Ohio shelter and turned over to rescue as they do not have many adoptions.

On August 19, 2005 Mikey was vetted, he had all his shots, booster, parvo, rabies, was treated for whip worms and flea dermatitis. Mikey tested positive for heartworm. He will be treated for heartworms in September and then neutered. If all goes well, he should be available for adoption sometime in October. As we know more about his personality -- more will be added to his bio.

"Teddy"

Teddy came to Adopt-Aluv Rescue as his owner moved and because he was not housebroken, he was not allowed to live in a new apartment with new carpeting. Teddy is a beautiful orange-red boy, 7 pounds in weight. rather on the shy side, but not a mean bone in his little body. With a lot of tender-loving care, we feel he is going to make a wonderful companion. Had he been neutered at 6 months of age, he probably would have been housebroken.

Teddy came from Amish breeders, puppymillers, who do not sell on a spay or neuter contract -- because of this, Teddy lost his first loving home. Will YOU give him the true home he deserves???

Teddy is up to date on all his shots, booster, parvo, rabies, is heart-worm negative and is on preventative, and has been neutered.

Application to Adopt, Adoption Contract, Home Visit, Adoption Donation, References required. For more information, please contact his foster Mom, Audrey in Mentor, Ohio (near Cleveland) -- Audrianne@Voyager.net
