Hi there, I'm Lourdes. I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I am FULL of energy and I would love to find a family that is active and could let me tag along with them. I love to be at home on the couch too, curled up with my people.......in fact, sometimes you can't get me off the couch its so soft and comfy!! My foster mom tells me I'm not a lap dog but I'm afraid she's mistaken, I can fit there just fine......why does she need to see the tv anyway?? ZoyJa has been with us since she was 4 days old, she is a very special girl because she was on the brink of death from freezing when she was brought into the shelter and with some help she fought her way back to good health! Sage has been in foster care for a few months now and she has grown into quite a personality. She is full of life and loves to be around people and dogs alike. She does ok on leash but she has the typical puppy energy that she needs to get out for her to find most of her manners, this is something we are working on as well, but its nothing a little time and attention won't fix ;o)

It is very hard to look at this girl, with her piercing blue eyes and not fall head over heels for her, she is quite a silly character who wants nothing more than to entertain her new family.

Slim got his name when he was found in the aftermath of Katrina, slim and hungry. And he didn't gain weight fast. But look at him now! He's a beautiful boy with a nice build! ;o) And what a striking brindle color...he's really something to look at!

He is a very grateful and kind personality….I think he truly appreciates all he gets after everything he’s been through. He is a very adaptable dog, just going with the flow, and will fit in to most lifestyles. He as much a couch potato as he is a ball chaser! LOL! He can be quite bouncy in play, so a home with older children would probably be best for him. And he's a tall dog. But he isn't over the top in energy. Slim works good on a leash, and knows sit and stay. He loves to play with the rope toy and balls. He also likes chasing the cats, so a home without cats would probably be best. He's a fun guy and at times can really make you laugh! A comic at heart I guess.

Slim has been in rescue since Katrina, and he really would appreciate a home of his own. Rescue has helped him gain weight and get healthy, now you can help him thrive in life! He would love his own people to love and hang out with, his own yard and toys he doesn't have to share! LOL! He is really a very kind and loving soul...don't miss out on all he has to share ;o)

Happy is a happy go lucky boy, but he’s got a lot to be happy about! After surviving hurricane Katrina, Happy found himself safe and warm in the comfort of one of the foster homes of TMR. After coming to us we learned he had heartworms. Now that he has been treated for those he is healthy, and happy! This guy is good time all the time!!!

Happy is not good with cats, but he is good with other dogs. He has shown no aggression towards any other dogs he has met or played with. He loves to play ball and he’s a bouncy guy when he’s playing. He’s a light weight, so he is easy to handle even under the most exuberant circumstances. He is leash trained, crate trained and learning basic obedience. He is doing very well so far as he’s a really smart boy. This guy would be awesome for something such as fly ball! He's an awesome athlete!

Happy is a funny guy and loves to be played with and loved on. He will do best in a home that is lively, as he is. He is an energetic little man and his favorite thing to do is play ball. Happy has met children, but none that I know of under the age of 4...he did great. My thoughts are he would do well with younger children, especially in the right environment! Sissy is a black colored pitbull, spayed, about 5 years old. She was originally relinquished by her previous owner over a year ago. (Our city recently passed some strict laws concerning pitbulls and since the owner could not comply with the new laws he released responsibility and ownership to Animal Clinic.) When she was first admitted, necessary preventive care had to be updated: Routine shots, deworming out, and she tested positive for heartworms. Immiticide adulticide heartworm treatment proceeded.

Sissy has always stayed a little underweight despite feeding quality food multiple times daily. A lot of this is because she has been in a kennel type environment. She hasn’t been able to exercise. She has been a wonderful dog to have at the clinic. Not only has she served as blood donor saving countless sick patients lives, but she is a very friendly dog.

Sissy is a little hyper. She can not be trusted around cats and must be introduced gradually to a second dog. She shows a little food aggression. She has been around some small kids (my niece is four and nephew is eight), but definitely should not be left unattended around small ones nor strangers. She loves to play and be scratched underneath the chin. She would be the perfect pitbull for someone looking to have an active dog.

Axel is a gorgeous 3 year old bully boy with a sleek black coat with white markings. He is neutered, up to date on shots heartworm negative and needs a home desperately.

Axel is a guy who’s never know the luxury of a family life. He’s quickly learning from his foster home what a dog’s life should be! He is great with foster mom’s young daughter, doesn’t mind cats and is not dog aggressive. He’s crate trained, enjoys eating in privacy in his crate and doesn’t mind folks taking his food. He is an acrobat and is trying to fly, reaching a 5 foot altitude so far, so supervision in a fenced yard will be a must. He isn’t exactly a high energy boy, pretty laid back but may come around in a more long-term home. He is learning manners on a leash and is doing well.

Axel rides well in a car and is a Velcro dog when in the house. He doesn’t want to miss anything and follows his people everywhere. He is learning how to play with toys and is hilarious to watch!

Axel will go to a new home with a 5 month supply of heartworm preventative and 2 months worth of flea preventative.
