Blackie was owner-surrendered to rescue as his owners were often away from home and didn't feel it was right to leave him alone for hours on end, they wanted him to have more quality of life.

Blackie is a black and tan Pomeranian male, 7-8 years of age and weighs 11 pounds, all shots are now up to date and he has been neutered. Owner claims he is housebroken - good with older children and a very sweet natured boy. I prefer to place him in a home where someone is home all day, hopefully with a retired person. He craves for companionship and only someone who is with him all the time can fulfill his needs.

We do not have a shelter, all rescues are in foster homes. Blackie is with foster Mom, Jennie in Mentor, Ohio (east of Cleveland). Dogs are not shown without first being approved to adopt. Please do not ask to come out and see what we have available unless you have an APPROVED APPLICATION TO ADOPT. Pogue is a 10 year old, under 20 pound, Boston Terrier male that was abandoned by his family -- Can you believe they moved and left him behind?

Pogue has been taken in by foster Mom, Robin -- who says he's very friendly with everyone. He likes dogs and cats and older children, he's completely housebroken. Nothing is known about his past medical history, but he seems very healthy. Pogue MUST be altered upon adoption. Pogue is located in Perry, OH -- we do not ship or transport.

Peaches is in a boarding kennel, because the owner is quite old (around 90) but had been healthy when she got the dog last year. She has since had quadruple by-pass surgery, and then got sick. She can no longer care for the dog. She had called the Humane Society, but they would only take the dog if she brought it in herself, which she is unable to do at this time. A friend brought the dog in to board, till the owner is well enough to take the dog to the H.S. I told her I would do my best to try to find a home, while the dog is here, so, perhaps the dog will not have to go to the H.S.

The dog is female, spayed, Basenji mix, a little larger than a Basenji. Up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm checked negative and on heartworm preventive. Probably around a year and a half old. The lady has paid her board for two weeks. So, I'm hoping we can find her a home in that time.

I have tested her with my cat and she took a long time before she would even look at the cat - and it was right in front of her. She finally sniffed the cat and then walked away to get petted. So, I'd say she is cat safe. She is not dog aggressive and seems to like all the people who have met her. I have handled her all over, and she doesn't seem to have any issues. She is not possessive about food or toys either. This is a very nice girl and needs a loving "forever" home.

HI!! My name is Stoney and I’m a loving, loyal, big boy peke. I follow my foster dad around and love to park in his lap for a nice head scratch. The vet I visited last week also said I was a great fella! I’m neutered now, got all my shots and also got my itchy fleas taken care of. I’m so cool even other dogs and cats or kids are fine by me. I’d sure like to have a family of my own, are you that family?

I was a stray so my age is a guess but I’m a solid grown up dog, so I might be 5 to 7. I weigh 21#’s, so I’m a lapful - but I’m gentle. I’ll ask to go outside and go potty, and talk to you to . My foster mom and dad can tell you all about me.
