Hello! I am a newcomer here along with my brother, Mango. I used to live in California with him on a Ranch. I was a house dog and my deaf brother became lonely sleeping by himself in the garage so my owner also put me in the garage at night to sleep with him. Hello, my name is MANGO, I am deaf. Although I cannot hear you - I do know some sign language such as the gesture of hand to come, leash means outside and down gesture with hand to lie down. Since I was born deaf I never was able to hear and my previous owner lived on a large ranch in California. All I did was run free and I slept in the garage. Due to my deafness my previous owner was unable to housebreak me because of my inablility to hear. She also allowed me to sleep in the garage and not in the house. I evenetually got lonely so she gave me the house dog to keep me company. He is here also and is named Kobe.  Buddie is a tiny teddy bear of love. Just look at that face with one ear up and one ear down - too precious. He just went to the groomer's for the first time to have his puffy coat trimmed down (to get rid of all the shelter dirt and knots). Don't worry ! Buddie's handsome coat will grow back just as fluffy as before. Now he is all fresh and clean - he looks like a tiny stuffed pommy. He is sweet, mild mannered and looking for love in a forever home. He is 8 lbs and 9 yrs old. He is being fostered in Baltimore, MD. The application is at www.pomposse.com. There is an adoption fee, but pommie love is priceless. |
 This is a mixed breed (some chow, lab and maybe some Irish Setter). He is 10 years old and weighs 72 lbs. He is healthy except for a little stiffness, but still goes up and down steps. And the owner says he might be getting cateracts. He is friendly around children, cats, and other dogs. He is completely trained, no accidents in the house. He has a good appetite and likes to eat some table food. These pups were mange ridden, dehydrated, malnourished and there was one that had rickets due to the severe malnutrition - Ricki. Her little legs were curved so badly, she walked on the outside of her paws. Three months in braces and excellent nutrition cured the rickets and now she is a very special young lady with a quiet dignity and grace - a result of being so fussed over and enduring three months of wrapping and unwrapping her legs in braces, taking medicine and trips to the vet - all of which she took in stride. She does well inside the home, being very couch potato like. She is gently loving and likes other dogs. She is a Shepherd/Hound mix. Spayed and vaccinated. This dog is a queen among dogs, she is such a regal spirit she deserves a home that understands her history and is willing to give her a future full of happiness.
