  Scooter was found with her mother wandering loose outside of the Scott County (KY) Animal Shelter. She's a small black tri-colored female, about a year old (as of Jan 2008) with pretty golden brown eyes and a docked tail. Scooter is a happy, energetic little girl which shows in her classic wiggling butt, and capering playfulness. She loves being patted on the head, which is helping her get over her shyness. She gets along great with her foster pack, and shows no sign of dominance, even as the only female in the group. She is well behaved, quiet around the house, is housebroken and crate trained. All in all, a sweet little dog that should make someone a great companion and playmate. Scooter is spayed, UTD on shots and HW negative. |
 Here we have an adorable little dog! Cinder is a 5 year old blue merle has a very puppy-ish look to her: small (45 lbs.), chubby and with big fuzzy feet, but she has the excellent house manners of a mature dog. What a great combination! She is perfectly house broken and does not chew or destroy anything, except dog bones. She is very quiet, doesn't bark very much, and is not demanding at all. She is very independent, quite content to hang out by herself. In fact, she would do just fine in a home without other dogs. She behaves well with her foster brother and sister unless there is food involved. She is quite food aggressive with other dogs and she needs to be in her crate at mealtimes. She has gotten much better since she has been here, though. We can peacefully give treats now. |
 Merlin is an 8 year old blue merle with one blue eye and one brown eye and a docked tail that wags almost non stop. He is very well behaved in the house, although he hasn't been in foster care long enough for us to know if he is housetrained. He was an outside dog in his last home. Merlin loves walks and car rides and acts like a young pup. He is good with kids, horses and other dogs and tolerates cats he knows. |
Roscoe is a Boston Terrier/Jack Russell mix. He has an adorable personality. We guess he is around 6 years old. He is crate trained, up-to-date on shots, neutered and heartworm negative.
Roscoe is looking for an adoptive or a foster home.

Ben is a bouncing boy who loves to play with other dogs! Sometimes he doesn't seem to realize that not all dogs love him!!! When he gets told off he backs down immediately and runs to hide behind the nearest human. He has typical puppy exuberance and can get into mischief but is truely a wonderful boy! Ben is housetrained and asks to go outside. He is quiet in the house when not playing. Ben is also crate trained. He is so soft and loves to be petted and cuddled. Ben, like any pup, needs training to become focused on his owner and this should be easy because he is a very clever boy. Ben is an all around nice boy looking for a loving, active family to call his own. He would love nothing more than another young and playful dog to wrestle with
Here is what his foster family has to say about him! "In a word, he is great and we are really enjoying our time with him. He is a loving, happy and energetic boy. There have been no problems with crating him, he will go in willingly and also is usually quiet (unless disturbed -- for example, he may bark when you come back, until he realizes who it is (although he doesn't always or even usually) and he may bark when the cats are fighting or running by. BEN LOVES THE SNOW -- it snowed last night and he was so excited to roll around in it and throw it with his
head!!! It is really cute..."

Barkley is a sweet loving dog. We think that he might have been dumped at my kennel. Someone may have found out we had dogs and thought we would not notice another one. We think that he is still a puppy. He is good with dogs, puppies and kids, he would not do well living with an aggressive male, he is not good with cats. He sleeps on our porch, and he does not roam (that is one reason why we think he was dumped). He is not housebroken, but we think he would learn quickly. Since he moved in I figured I would teach him some tricks. He knows fetch, sit, down and paw. He does need leash work. We think he was tied out for most of his life as he came with bald patches on his neck. He also had some skin irritation when he arrived, but now he has a soft shiny coat.
Surprisingly he is pretty quiet! He does give a few woofs when someone has arrived or if there is something in the woods.I know there is a good match for this loving boy.

Bo is a four year old, neutered male German Shorthaired Pointer rescued from Town Lake Animal Shelter in Austin, TX. He is a wonderful dog. He is house trained, crate trained, good with other dogs of all sizes, good with kids. Bo walks nicely on lead and knows basic commands of sit and down. He is a very calm dog and up to date on all shots and heartworm negative. Bo is ready for his forever home. He deserves it. kellye Texas |
 Lab/Shepherd mix and black and white Pointer, both spayed females with all shots need good homes. Good with older children and other dogs. Absolutely no cats - will kill them. They are very lovable otherwise and very calm and well manered. They had a home for 3 years and the people left them when they moved. They are currently in a dog kennel in the back yard due to the fact we have cats and the neighbors have lots of cats.
