Junior is an (almost) 5 yr. old red merle with docked tail. He has a generally sweet disposition although he needs to go to a home with no small kids as he tends to nip at them and wants to herd them. Junior is a beautiful boy and really, like most Aussies, wants just to be wherever his person is. He is up to date on his vaccinations. Junior's right eye is blue and his left eye is hazel; his tail is docked and he was neutered in 2005. He enjoys chasing a ball, gets along well with other dogs, has a more submissive nature. He LOVES water, and getting into it. It's a toss up about whether he would rather play ball or be in the water.

Awesome Blossom! At least that's what we're hoping for her. She was in a shelter for about four months and finally developed sarcoptic mange. She has completed her treatment and with proper nutrition she's going to become a real beauty. She is a little timid because life in a home and outside the confines of her shelter run is very different from the life she's had. Ceiling fans, carpet, crates, printers, weedeaters. She is a very happy girl with plenty of energy. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She is a submissive girl, but loves to play with the others. She is quite affectionate and very smart and quickly learns commands. She likes squeaky toys. She will be a very nice family dog.

Puzzle has come a long way in a short amount of time. He knows his new name very well now and comes when he is called. He thrives on attention, and is very affectionate in return. He is also one of the smartest Aussies we’ve ever fostered. He walks on a leash, will sit and down for you and adores stuffed toys and balls! His favorite toy is the big stuffed bone he is pictured with. He is learning to fetch, as he will almost get the ball all the way back to you. He also rides in a crate very well and will jump right in on his own. Puzzle would be an excellent candidate for an agility or obedience person. He would really excel in anything you wanted to teach him. He wants to please very badly.

Puzzle is a beautiful dark blue merle boy with an almost full white collar and striking blue eyes. He is a well built solid boy and perhaps a little shorter in the body than most Aussies. He stands approx 20 inches tall and is about 50 pounds. He is neutered, up to date on vacs and takes heartworm preventative and frontline monthly. He is a very alpha boy and would do best in a household where he could be the only dog. He does not seem interested in cats, and has not given chase, but rather he seems more curious than anything else. Even though he does not do well with other dogs, Puzzle is one of the sweetest boys around. If you are experienced with dogs and looking for a wonderful friend to share your home and life with, you can’t lose with Puzzle. He is being fostered in Morehead KY.

Izabelle or as she prefers, "Izzy" is going to be on the small side for an Aussie. She is a great pup, plays nicely with the other dogs (all females), is crate trained, house trained although she does go out regularly, loves squeakie toys and treats. She loves to cuddle but is also normally very busy - loves to see what is going on or investigate the tiniest of noises. Usually she goes about 90 miles an hour. Izzy loves her human sisters as well. She is 8 months old, spayed, up to date on shots. Izzy is located in Louisville, KY.

Duncan is a lab/whippet mix. He is such a good dog. He is fully house trained (he has never messed up in the house), he has already been fixed, and vetted, he's completely healthy. He really has no downfalls. He has been passed up a lot because he is not a dog that is in your face. He is content to go for a jog or walk and he's also content to lay by your feet. He is so calm and docile you will not believe it. He was rescued from a high kill shleter and needs a home. He gets along with other dogs, cats and children.

A Sweetheart that we are also trying to locate a home for. Oscar came in via Animal Control. His "owner" came for him after 30 days and was planning on taking Oscar home in the trunk of his car! Needless to say he did not get Oscar that day or any other. Now we are trying to find this sweet boy a home. We believe he is a Mastiff/Chesapeake Bay mix.

LACEY, sweetest most affectionate Rottie ever

Lacey, a three year old Rottie, was dumped at a Bay Area shelter, terrified and didn't trust anybody initially. But it didn't take long for her to open up to the rescue workers, they became best pals almost overnight. Lacey's natural tail was up for the first time and her eyes finally relaxed.

Lacey's currently in boarding but still needs her forever home. She's a gentle girl and very affectionate. Lacey is very dedicated and wants to bond with her new owner, as she did with her rescue workers, she would be a constant companion and devote her life to her new owner and their family. She lightens up with children, seems to really like them.

Lacey is great with other dogs at the ranch. Not sure about cats or very small dogs. She's easy to handle, walks well on leash and is smart and ready to learn more. Lacey is the kind of girl that will nuzzle her face into your lap or under you arm to get a pet from you. She's such a love and very devoted gentle companion. Lacey is spayed, all shots are current and she has a microchip.

Skinny and Pinch are both older male miniature pinschers, about 8 years, we think. Their person is home under house arrest, which made it rather difficult to care for the dogs. They're friendly and very much like attention. Also still pretty active for their age.

02-15-06 UPDATE
I just talked to the shelter about these 2 boys, they discovered that Pinch was around 14 years old and had alot of health problems and they euthanized him. Skinny is still with them but in foster care -- so he is still available and blossoming away from the shelter.

On the morning of April 13th a sweet beagle puppy wandered into our yard. He has no tags. He is very thin and has some scratches on his soft, velvety long ears. He also has a bent tail. He is gentle and desperate for love and attention, yet shy and cowers when patted, as though he has been beaten. It breaks my heart to think that anyone would hurt such an innocent, loving soul. Nevertheless, this dog is still trusting, affectionate and gentle.
