"Sister"
Sister was left to fend for herself when she was due to have a litter of pups in the sweltering heat. She almost lost her life & the pups. The vet said she had previously had a C-section and probably was unable to have a natural birth. She is very sweet, loving, & playful. She will make a great dog for a retiree, working person, or a child. She may be full Beagle or have some Cocker mixed. She seems to have a slight respiratory problem and cannot handle being outside in the extreme heat. She has several benign fatty tumors. She is working on house training. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and current on all shots. Requested adoption donation of $25 to the Pulaski County Humane Society to defray expenses.
Thanks for considering these dogs to be a part of your family & being a forever home. Contact petfinder.pchs@gmail.com or leave a message at 573-512-2102. We do not have a physical shelter, all our dogs are in foster.

"Spike"
Spike was in a sad situation due to his owner moving away & leaving him. He is under a year old. He has just been taken to a temporary foster home and has had a little bit of work with leash training. He does not seem to have any food/toy aggression. He is scheduled to be neutered and receive the rest of his shots. A background check is required for all pit terrier type dogs. Requested donation to the humane society for $25.

"Lovebug"
Lovebug is a spunky, loving little gal that is looking for a permanent home. She doesn't mind being around other dogs or cats. She is staying in one of our foster homes right now with another dog and just loves running around the yard with her pal. She is working on housebreaking and basic commands, but we're confident that with the right training she'll pick it up quickly. She has quickly been trained on a wireless boundary collar, giving her the freedom to roam wherever she'd like within the boundary. She is estimated to be around 1 1/2 years old and will be spayed soon.
Please contact her foster home to visit her at 417-458-1304 or email CLRFosters@Gmail.com. Requested donation of $25 to The Pulaski County Humane Society to help defray costs.

"Stormy & Beeker"
Could you give us a home? Both of us were rescued from a bad situation. We were so skinny that we could barely stand up. We are about 1 yr old and weigh about 15-20 lbs. Beeker (black & tan) is a boy and Stormy (white & black) is a girl. We have grown very close as we've recovered and have really bonded and are peas in a pod. We entertain ourselves for hours and love to run and play, but we also love human attention. We are fine in a fenced yard hanging out together. Both are fixed, current on shots and on heartworm preventative. They came into Rescue due to neglect. They can sit and Beeker can shake hands. We would like them to stay together. We both are very good with children. We do prefer to be outside, but come in and watch TV at night. We will make great family pets.

"Cricket"
Cricket is a gorgeous Black Labrador Retreiver (mix maybe?). She has a small white tip on her tail. She was found recently, but has not been claimed & is in need of a new home. She is very sweet and well mannered. As you can see from the pix, she really loves the water. She is trying to eat ice cubes in one of the pix & is standing in the bucket in another pic. She seems to have a scar & is possibly already spayed. We are guessing her at 1 1/2 to 2 years old. She has received her parvo/distemper shot & has been wormed. She is in need of a foster home or her forever home. Requested adoption donation of $25 to the Pulaski County Humane Society to defray expenses.
For more information or if interested in fostering or adopting, contact petfinder.pchs@gmail.com or leave a message at 417-718-3279 or 573-736-5490. "Lexis"
Lexis & Amos were purposefully being starved to death by their owners. The owners even walked by the dogs daily as they went in and out of their home. Both of these dogs are very sweet & grateful. Amos has been adopted, but Lexis is still in desperate need of a forever home. They have been neutered/spayed. Lexis is a red-nosed pit bull terrier / chihuahua mix ?. She gives hugs and will pull your leg close to her and hang on. Her foster home has been working diligently with her and she is turning into quite the beautiful, workable dog! She has gained considerable weight since being rescued and is very much ready for her forever home.
