  My husband and I rescued a Shepard mix dog, named Whiskey on a US Army Military camp in Doha, Qatar. We are currently stationed in the Middle East and have rescued/re-homed many cats since being here. Three weeks ago we rescued a Shepard mix on-post. There are no facilities available in the local area to house rescued dogs, and we unfortunately are unable to take in another dog. Whiskey will most likely be euthanized if he cannot find a home. |
 This is Pepper. I rescued Pepper from the Wylie Animal Shelter as she was due to be euthanized. She is such a great dog. Pepper is a young, 1 -1.5 yr old, female, Catahoula Lepoard mix. She knows basic commands, is house broken, crate trained, knows how to use the doggie door, rides well in a car, loves the dog park, gets along well with other dogs of all sizes, is cat tolerant, and loves kids. |
 Hi my name is Six I'm a Labrador retriever pit bull mix. I am 4 years old. I have had a hard life. As a puppy I was given to a man who ended up abusing me. I never got enough food because the older larger dog would bite me when I went to eat. My breeder took me away from that situation and brought me to his home again. Unfortanly, I always had to be kept outside because his other dogs and I did not get along. I'm kept outside and I hate it because it's too hot. |
Cheyenne was rescued off a chain which she had twisted around herself so much she only had a two foot length to move around with. She had no shelter, frozen water, no food and the owner was out of town for months. I guess someone was checking on her. It took Cheyenne about 6 months to come around - she trotted everywhere - no running - then one day zoom!! She is housebroken, spayed, current on shots, and very smart!! She can open the front door on her own.
Cheyenne is a beautiful healer - very standard. She loves children, other dogs, cats. The only thing she doesn't like is car rides.

We're told that Murphy has had no health problems and no housebreaking problems in the last year. He had many teeth removed last year, because of previous neglect, but he has had no trouble eating since then! Murphy has been living with a larger dog and a cat and did fine with them. But we prefer that his future adopters have no more than one other pet, and we would prefer that they own their home, so that he doesn't get left behind again. And because of his tiny size, we prefer homes without small children, even though we haven't seen any snappishness or aggression from him. He's just a cute and funny tiny little guy! Potential adopters should be within driving distance of Sacramento, CA. Written application, home visit and adoption fee required. (Revised 8/11/04.)

Shues is a 4 year old, 16.5 pound, neutered male. Shues craves attention and loves people! He would do best as an only dog in a home with children over 5 years of age or an adult only home. Jericho is an 11 month old (as of 1/03) male Labrador/German Shorthair Pointer mix. He is not very large, about 70lbs and is not expected to get much larger. He has great markings and his coat is a beautiful chocolate color. He is extremely friendly, outgoing and playful. He can be a little mouthy when he plays but a little attention and training would correct this. He would make an excellent addition to an active family. He is good with other dogs and cats.
