"Oliver"
Oliver is a happy go lucky kind of guy. Much more laid back than some Aussies, but with plenty of energy. He loves to play, especially with a favorite foster sister. He is also content to lie quietly, frequently with his head on your feet. He enjoys car rides, especially when he can be the co-pilot. He does not have any fears, lying right under the hairdryer when it's roaring. Ollie is curious about whatever is going on. He sits for his food and for his peanut butter and learns quickly. He is not at all intrusive.

Ollie is fully vetted, heartworm negative, neutered, housetrained and ready to become your constant companion.

Additional photos are available. Ollie is residing in Henderson, KY.

"Bonnie"

Bonnie is a sweet, friendly, 8 month old lab mixed with either Border Collie or Australian shepherd. She weighs 45 pounds, is up to date on shots and will be spayed prior to going to her new home.

Bonnie is a very active dog that has been raised around kids and does great with all ages. She is currently an outside dog so will need housetraining, but should learn quickly.

Bonnie lives on a farm with many animals, most of them rescued like Bonnie, and has no issues with chasing or herding the livestock. However, she does have one passion..........ducks! She loves to chase the ducks, who are also pets, and gets a bit carried away and has accidently killed several of them. Because of this her family believes it would be best if she had a home without ducks. She will continue to stay with her family until a foster situation or forever home is found.

Bonnie is located in Scottsville, Kentucky and transport assistance can be arranged. If you would like to know more about Bonnie and can give her a wonderful forever home, please contact Jane at augiehills@yahoo.com.

"Ebony"

Ebony is possibly lab/terrier mix. She is very fine boned, weighs 35 pounds and can run fast. According to animal control in Greenbrier, TN, she was abandoned by her owners along with her siblings as a pup. Animal control went to get the dogs when they were pups in March 2006 and she escaped from the cage. She was on the run until she was caught in Nov 06 and she was pregnant. Nine pups were born the end of November. Two died -- the remaining seven pups were taken into foster care on Jan 2nd. Animal Control did not want to let her come into the foster home as they believed she was a bite hazard, but they were talked into allowing her to come with the pups. Her remaining pups developed parvo and we lost two.

Ebony was a great mother and interacted wonderfully with all the different dogs we had here, it appears there is some slight separation anxiety, but not to a destructive point. She comes when you call her, but runs like a bullet past you. She also goes out when you tell her outside, looks forward to and takes treats. Ebony is fully housetrained, vetted and spayed.

Ebony has fears of some humans and storms and takes to women better than men. Recently Ebony spent a week with our family, including young grandchildren and did very well with them all. She goes crazy on a leash, but we put her in a crate and drove to AR, a seven hour trip and she just sleeps. When you stop she wants out and will bark until you return.

We have not had much time to spend working with her so she will need more training on leash and to curb the barking. Ebony is a sweet dog who deserves another chance at a good life.

If you would like to know more about Ebony, please contact Rudy or Jonelle at nammak2@bellsouth.net or call 615 855 1971. She is located in Tennessee.

"Chocolate"

This lovely lady is named Chocolate!!! She is about one year old and was left abandoned on a busy logging road near Wadesboro, NC with her sister Baby. She is a wonderful and loving puppy. She loves others and does well with young kids. She has a three year old human sister whom she adores!! She will give harley lots of kisses and love when she sees her.

Chocolate can be a bit shy when she meets you because of being abandoned, but she has learned to trust others really fast at our small shelter. She loves to snuggle and be inside with you. She sleeps with her human sister when she can and loves it!!! If you would like to be chocolate's special family, please email or call me.

"Cinnamon"

Cinnamon is a 7 pound, apricot poodle (born 9-27-89) who needs a home. She is very sweet, friendly, and loves her people. She is in excellent health. Her family has recently been through a divorce and now she is left alone for many hours each day as the family has gone from 5 people in and out all day to 1 person who must travel, etc. Cinnamon really does not like long stays at kennels.

Can you give her a loving home?

"Spirit"

Spirit, her name says it all! She is a warm and sweet example of the breed and as resilient as can be. When found, the fur at the front of her neck was rubbed thin - telling me that she had spent time tugging against a chain she was tied to. And she is so HAPPY to be free from there - a bounding leapfrog of freedom who is quickly learning basic obedience and spends long hours frolicking with my adult pit bulls (one at a time) one female, one male and always under supervision and making up for lost time.

Spirit settles easily into her crate or alloted space, lays quietly on her blanky and enjoys a treat. Truly the most low maintenance foster I've had. She's spayed, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and on preventative. This little love is ready to be your couch potato and pal. Spirit will begin official obedience classes soon and I will be able to report more. Can cat test upon request.

Adoption Restrictions: Would prefer California or surrounding states within 8 hours drive time. Willing to ship- however, adopter must pass home check and pay all shipping expenses.

Adoption Fee: $100 to off-set spay surgery, vaccinations and micro-chip services.
