"Daisey"
My friend and I saw these two little kittens begging for food outside a local Italian restaurant this past August. We talked with some of the restaurant workers and they told us that the mother and father have been living around the restaurant for over a year and this was the second litter of kittens they had this summer. The people eating in the patio area of the restaurant were throwing them pieces of bread and pasta from their plates and these two little kittens were gobbling up the food. My friend and I decided at that point to help these little kittens, so we bought a cage and trapped them both one evening. Unfortunately, one of the kittens got away because the cage was not secure and we have not been able to catch him since. However, the other kitty has been spayed, she's had her shots and she has been tested for feline aids & leukemia and has tested negative for both. We have had her for about 5 weeks now and she is a real love!

Because she was born outside, she is very timid and shy! She stayed in the closet for the entire first week we had her. We borrowed a pair of kittens to keep her company and through watching them interact with us, she has really made tremendous progress. She has a very sweet disposition, lets the kittens run all over her, lets them eat first and purrs like a lion when we pet her, however she is still very scared of anything unusual --noises, sudden movements, barking dogs, kids etc. She has never scratched or bitten any of us, but she will crouch down in fear when someone tries to touch her. Once they start to pet her, she purrs continuously! We feel the kind of home she needs is one with a single person or an adult couple who would be very soft & gentle with her. She will bond very easily with one or two people, but when a stranger comes in the room, she runs & hides (unlike the two kittens who will go to anybody).

"Cinder and her Kittens"

The Mommy is Cinder. She is maybe 1 or 2 years old, and has an interesting color - she's black but has a brown undercoat and it looks like colorpoint on her legs and feet. She has 5 babies born April 10th. Two are black/brown, 2 are torti, and one is a grey tabby. They will be available for adoption at 12 weeks so they are old enough to spay and neuter before going to their new homes.

"Tyson"

Tyson, male, 9 month old long hair orange main coon mix. Recycled Love was contacted because my former owner experienced both personal and financial hardships. She was afraid to take me to any shelters as she knew I may be killed. There are too many cats and not enough homes. As you can see, I am a handsome fellow and would love to lounge around your home. Do you think your home would be the right one for me? If yes, please call Karen at 410-426-6053!
