"Calamity Jane"
Ft. Worth Animal Control called us to pick up C.J. from the pound. She was brought to the facility with a broken leg. Not having the budget to treat such injuries, Furever Friends was called to rescue her. Had she not been rescued by us, she would have been euthanized at the end of the 72 hour holding period. C.J.'s lower hind leg was surgically pinned to stabalize the bone; giving it time to heal. Once it is healed, the pins will be removed. Because of her injury we prefer that she not go to a hme with younger children that may drop or hurt her. This adorable 3-4 month old female silver tabby girl is a very sweet and friendly kitty. She deserves a home of her own. Don't let this adorable girl go home with someone other than you.

"Bronte"

Bronte, an 8 month old silver tabby, was left in the book-drop of a Hurst Public Library. When the book drop was opened, out came Bronte. Imagine the surprise of everyone in the library!! No one there was able to keep her so she was taken to Hurst Animal Control. The vet guesses her at about 2 years old. She is a very sweet young lady. She seems to be quiet and well mannered, and doesn't seem to mind other cats, but she detests dogs. So a no dog home is a must.

"Re-Maxine"

Re-Maxine is a young, white, domestic short-haired cat who appeared at a local ReMax (hence the name) realtors office over the Christmas holidays. The realtors all being animal lovers couldn't leave her out in the cold icy weather. They also worried that Maxine would get hit by a car in their busy parking lot. So Re-Maxine was given an office of her own while everyone tried to find her owners or arrangements could be made to find a "place" for her. She would prefer to be the ONLY cat as she tends to be a bit cranky around the other kitties here at Furever Friends. Not a must though. admin@fureverfriends.org

"Gypsy"

Gypsy, Gypsy please tell me what my next home is going to be. Gypsy -- a delightful and fluffy long haired spayed female is a heroine in her own time. She singlehandedly raised 10 out of 12 kittens after some uncaring person abandoned her and twelve babies in our cold wet spring. She was a great mom and only lost two before a kind person took her and her week old kittens in out of the rain and cold. She was a sweet and loving mom and is now looking for her place to have a happy ending.

Gypsy is also a quick study at finding the softest bed with the coolest, quietest window fan so she can catch some r&r after raising her brood. She has a soft coat with beautiful gold and gray fur. She is clean, quiet and well mannered. She has done well with children, and other cats. She is not too sure of the dogs in the foster home but basically ignores them. If you long for a cat with a great disposition and beauty to match then Gypsy is the cat for you.

"Butterball"

Butterball is a 6 year old black cat has had a rough two years. He was the darling of an elderly woman who rescued him as a tiny kitten and loved him for 4 years. Unfortunately for both of them she was stricken with breast cancer, ended up in a skilled nursing facility and died. While his owner was suffering from cancer Butterball was in her home hapharzardly being fed by her son, a noncat lover. He was use to being petted, pampered and loved. He is confused and scared at the moment. He needs a loving inside home as that is all he knows. Butterball has outgrown his plump name and is now a regal and handsome fellow. He is neutered, current on his shots, negative for feline aids and leukemia. He is excellent with his litter box, use to other cats and dogs. He is afraid of the children in his current foster home but this is probably due to all the upheaval in his life in the past two years. Hopefully someone will open their heart to this large sweetie.

"Mist"
Mist was found at a gas station in Austin on a busy street corner. His mother and all his siblings had been hit by cars and killed. Mist was the only one left.

Mist is now 2 years old and after being nursed back to health and gaining human trust, he is ready for a home of his own. While he may be shy around strangers and he may take a few days to warm up, he eventually will. He is however terrfied of dogs, and he has no experience with kids, so we aren't sure if we will be able to place him in a home with any.

GREAT pet for an elderly person/couple. He tolerates other cats but would probably prefer to be an only cat. Is a real snuggler and love bug after he gets over shyness Pic coming soon.
