"Sassy"

This is Sassy, 9 year old Persian, de-clawed & spayed. Her owner passed away. Sassy will need a lot of affection and company especially in the beginning. She's a talker when talked to and loves to lay in windowsills and on the back of your chair. She has never been outdoors, doesn't seem bothered by dogs too much if they don't bother her in an unfriendly way. She needs someone who adores cats and can at least spend evenings with her. Likes everyone and just has a great personality. I'm sure she would do well with another cat as well. I don't believe children, unless older and very responsible, would be compatible for her. I will check on updating her shots.

"Rocky"

Rocky (a.k.a. Jack) is such a nice, sweet quiet cat. He was very thin and neglected when he came into the Michigan Humane Society and was placed in my foster home. He is now handsome and healthy and needs a loving permanent home. He is a one year old, 11 pound, neutered male, light gray, short-haired tiger cat with spots like an Egyptian Mau and white paws and bib. He is up to date on shots. He is perfectly litter-trained and good with the scratching post.

Rocky is very good with other cats and cat-friendly dogs. He likes gentle children. He loves to sit beside his foster family, purring.

"Finley"

Finley was found wandering the streets of Detroit during the big December snowstorms. When he was brought into the Michigan Humane Society, he had no fur on his back and the pads of his feet were raw. He also had a bad cold, so he was placed in a foster home.

Finley is now a big handsome boy, ready for a permanent home. He is a 2 year old, neutered, 15 pound male. He is beige and white with short hair. Finley is perfectly litter-trained and does not scratch furniture. He is up to date on shots, and is very outgoing, friendly and affectionate -- He purrs like a lion, climbs on laps and responds with meows when we speak to him. Finley is good with other cats, dogs and children.

"Samson"

Samson is a black, fixed male domestic long hair. Born June 23, 2000 into a litter of 8. LOVES chasing bubbles, playing with the other cats, and of course being loved and admired by everyone he come into contact with. Watch him around the bath tub though. He tends to fall in playing with the water. What a character.

"Sonce"

Sonce- "Luck" in Irish is a young brown tabby Manx (cat with just stub for a tail) who was found in rural wise county & brought to us the week prior to Christmas. She has a birth defect common in Manx cats: an improperly formed urinary tract & a poorly developed bowel muscle control. Dallas Veterinary Surgical Associates performed surgery to reconstruct her urinary tract. So far... the outcome of that surgery is very promising. The verdict is still out on whether her ability to control her bowels will continue to develop. So for now we wait and see and hope and pray. So far her medical expenses have topped $1,200.00. Donations are now being accepted in her name.
