"Sir Higgins"
Sir Higgins is a manly-man! This adorable youngster (4-5 years), who is sporting a very bad hair cut, was rescued from a vacant lot where he had apparently been abused and neglected, BUT that is history as they say. Higgins has adjusted beautifully to a home environment and loves playing with the other furbabies. He is somewhat on the short side for a Shih Tzu but that does not stop his 12 lbs from having a blast.
Along with being neutered and brought up to date on vetting, it was necessary for Higgins to have his jaw wired to repair a break caused by abuse. This does not stop him for a minute, verified by his thirst for food, (no bones allowed, please) and the jaw will not require any further treatment. "Chessie"
Chessie is a female chocolate lab mix, about 16 months old, spayed, and vaccinated. I rescued her and am trying to place her. I am teaching her basic obedience, social skills with other dogs, and crate training her. She is very well behaved around people and children and does not try to hurt our cat. She is still working on being comfortable when meeting new adult dogs. So, I think that if she is placed quickly, it would be best for her to be the only dog.

"Loretta"
I had to do something. We needed help...BAD. I did the only thing I could think of, I ran out into the road. The car actually stopped without hitting me. The lady got out and somehow understood that I wanted her to follow me. I had left my little brother, Louie Armstrong, and sister, Luna were sitting on the pile of trash at the dump site where we had been left. We were all in bad shape.
Fortunately, the lady in the car loved animals and she saved us. She even found a rescue place that would take us in. So, here we are waiting for our new homes.
My name is Loretta. We are all healthy now and very well behaved. We just came that way. I have a sweet spirit and I get along with anyone. I'm great with kids, adults and any animal. I'm even good on a leash and in a car. I'm about four months old and promise to be a most stunning dog when I get older. I should end up weighing about thirty-five to forty pounds. I love life and every thing just amazes me. I'm up to date on my shots and I'm just a dream.
My foster mom says that I'm a heroine. She says that I'll be a heroine again and bring the joy and love into someone's life that really needs it. I know I need that.

"Petunia"
This precious pooch is a particularly special puppy. She is approximately one year old and lives with her foster mom, five cats and four small dog pals. Things have been rough for this sweet and loving pooch as she was mulled by a vicious dog. Remarkably she has healed both physcially and socially. Her front paw is still a but weak but getting better every day. Petunia is about 40 pounds and is almost fully grown. She enjoys playing with her foster brother and sisters, doggie treats, squeaky toys and cuddle time. "Doogie"
Hi! My name is Doogie and I need a forever home. The nice boy who owned me had to give me up but luckily I ran into a member of Recycled Love who took me into her foster home. I just love all the toys and other dogs to play with at her house. There is so much to do and as a puppy I need lots to keep me busy. I like to chew on rawhides and soft toys. I am still learning not to chew other things and I am working on housetraining as well as leash training. I already know how to sit like a little lady and I do really well in the car. "Lucy"
Lucy is a bull dog mix, about 3 years old, medium size about 40lbs, spayed and up to date on all her shots. She is a sweet little girl looking for a home. She needs some basic training but is very anxious to please.
Always affectionate, gentle and very sweet. Lucy loves to takes walks and does excellent on a leash walking right by your side. She responds well to positive commands. Lucy loves to be your companion and sleep next to you in bed. She would probably be best in a setting with older children because she loves to play and does not realize that she could knock a little child down. She is both playful and submissive to children.
Lucy does get along with other dogs, however she usually needs a few hours to adjust to them, she can be a little timid and shy at first. Once she is comfortable she loves to play. "Rocco"

Rocco is a 10 month old lab mix puppy. He is approximately 28" tall, and weighs 50lbs. He is yellow and white with beautiful markings. His personality makes him stand out from all the other dogs in the park. He is exceptionally affectionate, and loving. He likes to be close to you while you are watching tv, but enjoys sleeping alone in his own bed at night. He is very intelligent, and has been very easy to train. He will sit, lie down, beg, and stay on command. He will not eat until you actually tell him to eat. You can put the food in front of him and he will wait until given permission to eat. I have begun to walk him without a leash in areas with few distractions.
Rocco is completely housetrained. He even likes to sleep in on Saturdays. He never barks. Unfortunately I have developed an extreme allergy and can not keep Rocco. He likes all people, and is even good with little children. He plays well with all the other dogs in the park too. I am hoping to find someone or a family who will love him as much as I do. He is a special dog and deserves a loving family. He has had good care from Dupont Veterinary Clinic, and is up to date with all shots, wormings etc for his age. He will come with a crate, toys, food, worm medicines, and jacket. He will be a wonderful addition to a lucky family.
