 Daisy has had all her shots, booster, parvo and rabies. She is heartworm negative and on a monthly preventative. Her spay is scheduled for 11-21-05 thus should be ready for her "forever" home after 12-01-05. Hutchy carries a lovely reddish fawn coat which must be kept on the shorter side as every now and then he will come down with a minor skin infection that leaves dry scabs on his skin that is itchy. Monthly baths and a shorter coat keeps him free of this problem. So, if you have time for weekly brushing and monthly baths, he should not have this problem. Update: November 24, 2005, Hutchy is now living in Lakeville, CT with Divina and his former kennel mate -- Moppy -- (formerly known as Ebony). Divina drove 569 miles (one way) to pick this little guy up and take him to his "forever" home. He's doing fine, although, Moppy has her nose up in the air -- growls when he get near her cage or her toys -- she'll be fine once they get used to each other again. In another month, I believe they will be sleeping in the same bed and eating out of the same dish, as they had in the past, as they both came from the same owner who broke her hip and ending up living in a nursing home. Winston was pulled from a shelter due to snapping and growling at the shelter workers, because of this he was deemed unadoptable and was scheduled to be put down. Winston went into a foster home with Teresa, who found out there is not a mean bone in his 15 pound, 2 year old body -- he was just horrified in the shelter. He has been completely vetted, all shots, heartworm negative and is on preventative, and is neutered. He is fawn and white, cage trained, Teresa says he is housebroken -- he will let you know when he wants to go out to potty and he will stand up on his hind legs for attention. He walks well on a leash and knows -- "NO".  Foxy has all her shots, booster, parvo, rabies, and has been spayed. She is also heartworm negative and on preventative. She does have chronic ear infections and will need treatment on a regular basis, this is not a major problem. Her teeth were cleaned but will be rechecked when she goes back to the vet for her last examination. A specialist will give a more detailed evaluation then. This will be added to her bio at a later date.  Sissy is a darling little 8 pound, 6 month old Pekingese female that was turned over to rescue as she was too much to care for by her owners. They just didn't have the time. They also did not take the time to Vet her. Since she never saw a Vet, her care must start at the beginning with all the puppy shots, etc. which were started on 08-19-05. She's been wormed, is heartworm negative, on Interceptor, and was given her rabies vaccination. |
 Smiley is a darling 5 year old smooth coat fawn female Chihuahua born on January 20, 2000. She weighs 5 pounds. |
 Daisy was surrendered due to the death of her Master. Daisy is 15 years old, in rather good health, she gets along with other small dogs and has a good personality, per a relative of her owner. She is paper trained, all shots are up to date, and she is spayed. Her teeth need to be cleaned, but with her age, this may be a problem. When she received her shots in December, the Veterinarian advised against it. |
 Sophie was released to rescue by her owners. She was used as a brood matron and produced many puppies. Sophie is a Yorkshire Terrier about 6-8 years of age, weighs 9 lbs and has a wonderful, loving personality, however is shy until she knows you. She is not housebroken and must learn house manners. She has never been on a leash, so must learn that also. She gets along with other small dogs and ignores our cats. |
