"Trixy"

Hi, my name's Trixy!

I'm a 4-month-old Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier mix with a real problem! I have no home to call my own! I was born blind and my owner didn't want me so she gave me to these nice people. I'm a really happy puppy and love to do what all normal puppies do, but a little more relaxed about it. I don't have any chewing problem, but I might nip at your fingers if I think they're food. I'm pretty food protective because I've had to fight for my food since I was born. Once I figure out that your not going to take my food away, I'll probably calm down, but until then I'm not allowed to have treats.

I spend most of my day sleeping and running around. Because I'm blind, I'm not too great at balancing and sometimes fall down when I'm trying to feel my way around. I love to cuddle and give millions of kisses. I'd rather go to a home with another dog so that he can help guide me (the vet says it's easier that way.) My potty training is going along really well! I love everyone, but young children may want to be careful because loud noises can spook me. I'm looking for a forever home with a real laid back family that's looking for a really easygoing gal like myself!

"Jingles"

Hi there. My name is Jingles and I was born on Jan. 4, 2002. As you can see, I am a very pretty, sweet/quiet, little (6#) sable & white girl. These nice people are going to help me find a home where I can be loved and pampered for the rest of my days. I am already spayed, up to date on my shots, I get along fine with other dogs, never been around cats - so I really don't know. I would love the chance to cuddle on the couch with you if you will pick me up and put me in your lap. I am sort of shy yet, just getting to understand living in a house can be confusing. I will also be working on my house training and I will need you to help me with that as well.

"Neko"

Hi! My name is Neko, which means "cat" in Japanese. I'm 5 1/2 years old, and I weigh approx. 10 pounds, am very pretty & independent, and soooo ready to live like a real princess should. Would you like to show me the good life? I do get along with other dogs and would like at least one other playmate for company; I haven't been around cats, but that is good - I can be taught to like them!

"Parker"

I came into rescue because my family couldn't take care of me any more and were worried about a back injury. Rest and a shot seem to have taken care of everything but I probably should be careful on stairs and not jump off couches. I love being around people and will complain if I'm fenced away from them (Oh no, I'd never bark, I just "talk") If my people leave I'm also very unhappy so my best home would have somebody there most of the time. I'm a happy little guy, housetrained and no bad habits.

"Crash"

Only 9-10 months old and full of energy, Crash is making up for the lost time he spent confined to a small space in a mill. When he came into rescue, he didn't know what it was like to be clean or to run in open grass or even how to interact with other dogs. He has been in rescue since May of this year and was making great progress until he had his first seizure in July.
After all this little guy had to go through, it just didn't seem fair that he now had to deal with this medical issue too. The good news is that he has not had another seizure since he was placed on medication (Phenobarbital which costs about $10 a month). Although there is a chance that he can one day go off the medication, the new owner should be prepared to keep him on the medication for as long as necessary.
Crash has bounced back and seems better than ever. He has learned some basic commands and he is alerting us when he needs to go outside to potty. He is starting to play with some toys and is learning to play with other puppies and small dogs. Crash is fearless, likes everyone he meets (will approach anyone with no hesitation), and especially seems to like children. In fact, I think he sees kids as automatic treat dispensers ;)
He's not really a "cuddly" dog but does like attention and will curl up in his bed next to you at night while watching TV. He has a sweet personality and thinks everyone he meets will have a treat for him. His perfect home would be with a family (kids would be great) that can spend time with him. Other gentle or small dogs would be OK but he would also be good as an only dog. The new owner will need to continue working on housebreaking and training issues. He can hold it through the night but needs to be let out during the day to go potty. When excited or in a new situation, he still will spin so his new owner will need to continue to use positive reinforcement to train appropriate behaviors. Crash is very food motivated and likes to learn so he would really benefit from obedience or agility training.

"TJ"

HI!! My new name is TJ. I like toys, and chew, and laps and kisses. I love to run with my little dog friends out in the yard. My foster mom says I�m really sweet once I�m not afraid, and I love laps and treats. But I really want a person to call my own - are you that special person? "Winston"

Oh, Hello. I�m Winston, and I like my new name. I love living with grownups and don�t bother kids if they don�t bother me. Actually, if they�d like to give me a belly rub - I�ll take it. I like the easy life and try not to beg for food - it�s hard. I�ve gotten pretty mellow and have learned to sit and lay down on command. I learned to use the doggy door in just a couple of days. I�m just enjoying this life of sprawl and sleep and chew on wonderful rawhide treats.
I�m noy a puppy but a mature dog who loves to have your company and be petted and fed treats. I�m somewhere around 10; not a youngster but not over the hill yet. Cats are OK and other dogs.
I�ve had enough of the hard life so now my foster mom�s going to make sure I get a good home. I like it quiet and prefer adult company If you like me, just take care of the adoption application, reference check,home visit and adoption donation of $150. Mom wants me happy.
