Lexie is a very sweet girl. Was picked up as a stray and brought in with fresh stitches from her spaying. She must have been somebody's baby but they haven't claimed her. So sad. Pretty blue eyes!
Her pull fee is only $26 and that is to cover her parvo/distemper shot and rabies shot. She can leave the shelter immediately. Please call about Lexie. She's in Kennel D30. But please call soon. Tick tock. Tick tock.

KeyShia is approximately five years old. She has been living in a pen with a large number of other dogs having puppies for the kennel that owned her. She is now looking for a home as a house dog and as someones pet. She is friendly but still needs to learn quite a few things. For instance, she has never walked on a leash or had a collar on her neck. We are housebraking her to newspaper.

Britches is a six year old, three pound toy poodle. He was released to our rescue by a commercial kennel for rehoming. He is very friendly and a real lap sitter. Britches will be neutered and have a dental before leaving for his new home. He is one of the smallest dogs I have ever seen.

"Honeysuckle Rose"
Rosie is a tiny sweet cockapoo girl that was released to our rescue from a puppymill. She is only a year and a half old. Now she is looking for a home.
Rosie came to our rescue severly emaciated with pneumonia. She is starting to gain weight and she is on antibiotics for her pneumonia. It was discovered on an xray that Rosie has a collapsed trachea. She is a very quiet dog and needs to remain quiet. She may cough occasionally. Rosie needs a home where someone will accept her the way she is. She can have a normal life, just toned down. Not like a regular dog that goes for fast walks or runs like the dickens. Rosie paces herself pretty well and is a quiet dog. Rosie is being housebroken to newspaper. She is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen.

"Murphy"
|
Special needs, blind boy!
"Murphy" is a sad fellow these days due to loosing his owner to cancer and now needing to find a new owner on whom to lavish his attentions. He is blind so is tentative on a leash unless he knows the area where he is being walked. He is learning "step up/down", "wait", etc. so he does not fall up or down stairs or hit walls. Once he has things mostly in place in his mind, he gets around new locations just fine. He also loves to be near his human as much as possible so a home where he can go to work or with retired humans would be best. He is dog door trained but sometimes does not quite make it outside so a bit of training will be in order so he will learn where, when and how to ask to go out.
His paperwork says he is a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix but looks more like a Yorkie/Schnauzer mix. Whatever his heritage, he is a wonderful, loving, portly little fellow that wants a new bed to sleep next to and a human of his own to cuddle with and adore.
Are you the special human he is looking for? Come meet this wonderful guy and see if he is "the one"!!
