"Lukas"
This frisky 2 year old needs a loving home where he can get lots of attention. Lukas loves to play with other dogs, but also needs some alone time. He is almost house trained and is getting over a mild case of kennel cough, but that hasn't slowed him down a bit! This 9 pound ball of energy likes to play outside and sit on the highest point he can find to watch over his domain. He definitely thinks he's bigger than he actually is!

Contact Sally at 410-576-0481 if interested in adopting him!

"Belle"

Belle is a Minituare Pincher-Italian Greyhound-Chihuahua. She is a 1 year old female and weighs 9 pounds.

It's been a rough start. I was not treated very well, had pups, was on the street, and ended up in a shelter, all before my first birthday. Then one day a nice lady came to the shelter and said "Recycled Love". It must be a magic password. My cage opened and off we went! Next was a place called the "vet", and they made me feel better, and then to a foster home with other dogs to play with!

I like to run and chase a ball, and then curl up on the couch. I walk very nicely on a leash and I'm learning how to "wait" before we cross the street and "sit". I sleep on my little bed, or under the covers of my Mom's bed. Now that I'm in a safe place I want to have a good puppyhood, so I will need to go to school to learn all those important things.

I'm very friendly and like to give lots of kisses! I really like it here in my foster home, but want a special place to call my forever home.

Contact Sally at 410-576-0481 to adopt this little girl!

"Jasmine"
Jasmine a 2 1/2 year old Ibizan Hound and Lab mix. About 50 lbs. She is good on leash and loves long walks and to play with other dogs but then she also enjoys resting in a confortable place. She knows how to sit on command and would love to learn more obedience since she is very smart.

Jasmine is very affectionate and has been looking for her person for some time now. She has spent the last months at the Baltimore City Shelter and now is at Wagtime, a dogie spa and daycare in DC, where she gets to run and play with other dogs and gets lots of TLC from the staff. Jasmine is a very outgoing dog. She is always happy no matter what she has to go through. She will make a great companion and friend. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots. "Sparrow"
On the Friday before 4th of July weekend, just a few hours before my most recent foster pup left for his new home, a woman brought a badly injured young, female dog to my house. The woman had found the dog earlier in the week with severe bite wounds and injuries to its throat and face.

Sparrow is very skinny but after four days at the vet and three days here she is improving and already looking better. Sparrow is a beautiful yellow dog, about 5 months old and is presumably a yellow lab, Pit mix. She's very social with my other dogs, loves to romp and play and settles down nicely in her crate when I ask her to. She'll need some special handling due to her throat injuries and as soon as she settles down a little I'm going to start working with her using a head collar.

Please, help me find a loving home for little Sparrow. She's had a rough start and could use some good help. Thanks! Kathy - tobrndogs@aol.com

"Gemini"
Gemini was rescued from a home of neglect. She was the "outside dog" attacked by the "inside dog" tearing her mouth and scratching her head and neck area. Her owners would not give her the minor medical attention she needs so they were persuaded to surrender her. She has a mellow and friendly personality. She is housebroken.

Gemini is 83lbs which is on the thin side but she has a good appetite. Gemini is not dog aggressive but defensive - she is being fostered with 2 other rottweilers and does well with them. She is in need of a strong owner one who can handle a large dog. She will also need some leash training because she lunges at anything on wheels like cars, wheelbarrel, lawnmower etc.

For further information please call Sally at 410-576-0481

"Chi Chi (aka Damien)"
This poor little Chihuahua was found roaming the streets of Baltimore City. He's about 10 pounds so he's on the large size of the Chihuahua breed so he might be mixed with something.

Damien's first days at the shelter and then at the Vet to get his shots were traumatic for him and he was scared to death and let everyone know it, hence the name Damien. However, since he has been in foster care he has flourished. So much so that his foster mom couldn't bear to call him Damien and he now answers to the name Chi Chi.

This little boy is a sweetheart! He has shown no signs of aggression and just wants to be loved. He does okay with other animals (meaning he doesn't bite, snap, etc.) but would be best as an only "child" because he is nervous and hides when he is around dogs that want to play with him.

Chi Chi is still working on being housebroken, he gets noticeably better every day. If you can give Chi Chi the love and care he deserves please call Sally at 410-576-0481.

"Bootsy"
Bootsy is a tiny little shihtzu boy, only ten months old. He was just released from a puppymill that is closing its doors. He has been living outside and came in filthy with ticks. He has been treated and cleaned up. His hair is thin from poor nutrition. He ate and drank like a little pig when I got him in the house. He probably never saw so much food.

Bootsy is friendly and having a good time here with the other dogs. He is a lucky dog to get out and be looking for a pet home at his young age. Most dogs never get out of the mills, they die from untreated disease or infections or from dog fights.

Bootsy will be neutered and up to date on shots before leaving our rescue. He is being house broken to newspaper. I am glad to have gotten him out before the cold weather set in. He is available for a $250 donation to our rescue medical fund and an approved application. He should be good with children as he is young enough to adapt to them.

"Amanda Ruth"
Amanda Ruth is not even a year old. Just released by a puppymill that is going out of business. She is a very cute Shihtzu/Terrier mix dog. She weighs about 7 to 8 lbs and is friendlier than most mill dogs because of her young age. Her hair is thin and she came in with ticks on her, must have been living outside. Thank goodness she got out before it got any colder. With a good diet and meds she will be in good health again soon. We are housebreaking her to newspaper. She will be spayed and up to date on shots before leaving our rescue.

If you think you can provide Amanda with a forever home, contact us at bonnwright@aol.com. She should be good with kids, seems to have a wonderful personality. Her adoption fee is a $250 donation to our rescue medical fund.
