  Stormy was found as a stray in Omaha NE. He appears to be around only a year old and must have been recently groomed. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He likes other dogs if they are resectful and loves to "play chase" with the cat in his foster home. His favorite toy is his doggie bed which he loves to "toss" around. Most of the time however, he just likes to lie near you and be loved. He's very affectionate and wants to be near people. |

I’m a good boy with cats. I’m a smart little guy too. I learned to use the doggy door in just one day. I’ve started learning to do tricks and walk on a leash. |
Crackers is a 9 yr old, spayed toy poodle who is desperately in need of a good home. Her parents got divorced and Crackers got to live with her dad. He works for a computer company and travels every week - the dog is home alone from 1 day to the next. She is a sweet dog who has always been treated like a baby and was carried around a lot - now she is alone and miserable. Lilith is a 9-10 year old Chihuahua. She is healthy, happy, spunky, spayed, on heartworm prevention, was dewormed on Jan 10th with Drontal, and is ready to rock YOUR World! Lilith was rescued from a high-kill Animal Control facility. She was very scared, at first, understandably. However, she has made great progress and gets along well with other dogs, enjoys playtime with canine and humans alike. She walks well on-leash, and has the spirit of a 2 year old. It appears that Lilith was a producer, who was abandoned, when she got too old to reproduce babies for her owner. She has a joie la vive that won't quit, and she just wants to be with her person forever and ever. No more babies to tend to, no more rotten teeth to fear someone touching. All of that has been taken care of. Now, she just wants someone to call her home, and who will keep her warm and safe. This adorable little guy is very loving, housebroken, neutered, and appears to have been someone's baby at one point. I've placed flyers everywhere, but no one is claiming him. I have two dogs of my own and I am not able to afford a third. This baby deserves a home with someone who can give him the love and attention he needs and deserves. Max -- is a darling 5 year old, 10 pound tri-colored, black & tan with white markings, smooth coat Chihuahua. His shots, booster, parvo, rabies are up to date, he was heartworm tested negative and is on preventative (Interceptor) and he is neutered. He eats Hill's Prescription Diet Canine W/D. He also gets 1/4 of a pill of Reglan at dinner to control his colitis. He has done very well on this regimen. Max has BIG problems. For the first four years of his life, he was badly, badly abused. He was kicked, tossed down stairs, thrown against walls and because of this Max is now a fear biter. Any sudden unexpected movement, Max will nip and think later. Therefore, Max will only be placed with adults who have worked with problem dogs, no children or grandchildren. Fenced-in yard is required. Foster Mom says, he has so many good qualities but really needs to be an "only". He loves to ride in the car, go for walks, cuddle, beg, play with his toys. His big problem is sharing attention with other animals. He tends to bite but it's usually when another animal gets too close. He's almost completely housebroken although he still marks territory - but again I believe it's tied to other animals.  Gizmo-Teddy is a darling 2 year old male Pekingese that turned up as a stray in a local pound. No one claimed him and he was offered to rescue. He was in full coat at the pound, but he's now in a summer puppy cut. He is a red and white parti-color and about 15 pounds in weight. He gets along with foster Mom, Helen's other dogs and seems to be housebroken. He has a wonderful, loving personality -- we don't understand why he was not claimed. Pansy is a darling 2-3 year old black and white female Pekingese. She was owner-surrendered along with her sire, Rocky to rescue. She's lived in an out-building the past year or so and would really love to live in a house again and become a member of the family. Pansy is very shy and timid, but warms up to you once she knows you won't hurt her. She is about 15-16 lbs. Pansy is in Columbus, Ohio with her foster Mom, Marcy and her sire, Rocky. Marcy says: "Pansy is more timid than Rocky, although she loves to be petted and is following me around. Her coat has been neglected and she could afford to gain a bit of weight. She is very well behaved, they go outside and do their business and come right back in without any problem." Pansy has been completely vetted, all shots, booster, parvo, rabies -- has been checked for heartworm and is negative and is on preventative monthly medication and she was spayed. Rocky, a very sweet natured and shy Pekingese male, was owner-surrendered and is available for adoption. 08-01-04 -- He weighs 15-16 lbs. and is about 4 years of age. Rocky has lived in an out-building the past two years, but he seems to be housebroken. I do not know if he is lead trained. Marcy, foster Mom says: "Rocky is beautiful -- he has a beautiful, beautiful black shiny coat, he's shy but friendly, he loves to be petted and has been fine with all our dogs and our cat, and small children (8 and 9 years old) he understands outside -- outside to potty, so far he has not had any accidents in my house, both Rocky and Pansy (his daughter) were left uncrated all night and all day with no accidents." Rocky is in a foster home in Columbus, Ohio. Rocky is up to date on all his shots, he has been tested heartworm negative and is on preventative and he was neutered.
