"Mimi Goose"

Mimi is a six year old retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She wants to start a new life as a house dog and get a home like all her puppies got. She is small in size but with plenty of personality to make up for it. She is a beautiful black and tan color.

Mimi has lived in a cage all her life and now she is free to move around the house at will. We are looking for someone who will be committed to making a home for her, someone with patience, because she has a lot to learn. She is learning to trust people now and everything will be easy after that.

Mimi is blind in one eye but can see just fine with the other. I was told she has been that way since birth. She will make a loyal companion for someone. No small children please, she has never been with any. She is being papertrained.

Mimi will be spayed and up to date on shots and will have a dental before going to her new home. She is available for a $200 donation to our rescue medical fund.

"Mia Zapata"

Mia Zapata is a toy poodle girl, a retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She has lived in a cage all her life. She was never properly socialized as a puppy and never had a lot of interaction with people. Now she is looking for a home where she can be a house dog.

Everything is new to Mia, including being loose in a house, leashes and collars and getting attention from people that want to pet her and play with her. It is a happy, exciting time in her life but still she needs someone with patience, understanding and a commitment to making a home for her.

Mia is a small size and is just learning to trust people. It will take her awhile to become comfortable in a new home. But she will, and when she does, she will be a loyal and wonderful companion. Mia is not a barker and gets along with other dogs and cats. No small children please, she has never been with any.

"Scout"

Great temperment, all vacc, altered, microchip, housebroken, about 2 years old. All positive things except he needs a home.

His side of the story.....
Confused and scared. Trying my best to avoid the barking Toyotas, Fords, Chevys and the occasional Lexus. I was running as fast as I could for a safe place. During my frantic search, I found my foster mom who immediately swept me up. B-4 I knew it, I was at the shelter. "Don't worry little one. We're not going to let anything bad happen to you. Be brave". I spent 5 days in doggie jail while they searched for my Mom and Dad. They didn't turn up so my foster Mom & Dad came back for me. I've had a tough 2 weeks with getting lost, spending time in jail and getting a computer chip, ALL vaccinations and sterilization. On top of that, I had my "cherry eye" removed by the local doctor. I love other dogs and am very courageous. I have been able to socialize with my foster brother and sisters, go into the house and even visit with the cat with supervision. I have also been learning how to use the doggie door! I have already shown that I know not to chew, destroy or pee or poop when I'm indoors (which includes a garage).

My foster mom calls me Scout. I like the name but I'm flexible. I'll come to anything if I could have a home of my own.

If interested in adopting, please contact Bryan or Janet at (323)344 7474, or e-mail them at janetandbryan@earthlink.net.

"Suzi"
Suzi is a 2 year old female pekingese girl that just lost her home. She weighs about 8 lbs and has a condition known as wobbles. It means that her back legs are weak. She can get around fine though and is totally house broken. She is very sweet and adores her care taker. Pekes need to be brushed and should get regular grooming. Suzi is a very quiet dog and would do well with a senior person or in quiet house hold. She loves cats and would be okay with maybe one other dog or two if she is not bullied. Suzi is spayed and up to date on shots. If you would like more information on adopting Suzi contact bonnwright@aol.com No small children, Suzi is very afraid of them.

"Reese"
Reese is a darling 4 year old, neutered male poodle, who has had a rocky road. He was originally rescued in another state where he had suffered a broken jaw and had been tied out and neglected. He had dug a hole in the ground to survive. He has come a long way , but is in a home with multiple animals and one of them has food aggression and tries to keep Reese from eating. He would benefit from being an "only" doggie. He likes cats. He has been tolerant with small children in quiet interaction. He loves to be held and cuddled like a baby. He is hesitant and shy with men. He will let a man hold and cuddle him only if he is handed to them. He would run if a man or stranger tried to pick him up. He is afraid of being dropped or thrown, so must be put down gently, He was no doubt abused and handled roughly. Reese is not a biter but will bark if approached by a stranger. Reese needs a lady who wants to cuddle as much as he does. Contact bonnwright@aol.com for more info . He is neutered and up to date on shots , about four years old.
