"Snickers"
Snickers is a small/medium 25 pound spayed 8 year old cockapoo dog. She has "hair" rather than fur so she does not shed. She is affectionate and well-behaved. Her veterinarian stated at her yearly visit this June that she is in "excellent health" and has all updated shots. She is house broken and will even ring a little bell to go out (just hang it by a string next to the door you want her to use).

Snickers has been with her original owner for her entire lifetime. She is extremely loving and very gentle (you could take food out of her mouth and she wouldn't even blink). She needs a home with no other pets, for she is afraid of other dogs. She does not like to be left outside alone in a doghouse or tied in the yard. She is excellent with children of all ages. She enjoys being inside and doesn't need to be walked. However, she will walk by your side without pulling but does require a leash. She is calm but not lazy and will play with you if you wish. She responds well to many commands: "sit", "stay", "down". She loves people and will sit by you on the sofa with her head in your lap for hours if you invite her. She is used to being handled by a groomer every 5-6 weeks and is well-behaved for that experience.

Snickers is an excellent watch dog. She will let you know if someone comes onto your property. She is used to being home alone while you are at work and can go 12 hours without being let out. She is not destructive at all. She will make an excellent pet for any family and especially for elderly people as well. She is a fantastic companion.

"Kyra"

Kyra is a red husky mix. Spayed female UTD on shots. About 3 years old. She is housebroken, friendly, great with kids, cats and dogs. She rides well in a car, walks good on a leash. She is very energetic and loving. Would like to see her go to a home with a high fenced-in yard or someone who can take her to the dog park often. She does suffer from some separation anxiety. She seems to do better when left alone with another dog though. She would be happier where she can have room to run and play, and kids and dogs to play with.

"Pow-Pal"

Pow may be a Great Pyrenese, or a great pyrenese/golden retriever mix. Very energetic. He was found with a gunshot wound last spring. He is all healed up now and quite healthy. He is about 2 yrs old, neutered, housebroken and up to date on shots. He loves children and gets along with MOST dogs. He is outside now because he does not get along with my mother in laws aging boxer. He is a very handsome boy and just loves attention. Unsure about cats.

"Sox"

Sox is a 5 year old, 18.9 pound, neutered male. He loves car rides, treats and relaxing with his human. He's a good boy who would do best in an adult home with a fenced yard. He's a bit exhuberant on a leash. He is potty-trained!

"Peaches"

Sweet wonderful Peaches was pulled from a kill shelter, very pregnant & on her last day, before she could be put to sleep.

Peaches is so sweet & just a joy to have around. We do not believe Peaches has ever lived in a house before. She was picked up as a stray & we can not believe no one came looking for her.

Peaches loves to live in a house now & is doing great, her only problem is she is not housebroken & will need an owner who is willing to work with her. We are working on paper training her & on her housebreaking.

Peaches had a rough time with her pregnancy & had to have a C-section & then got an infection. We thought we were going to loose her, but with great Vet care she has pulled through & she is doing just wonderful & was one of the best doggie Moms ever. She took very good care of her puppies.

Peaches' adoption fee is $200. (Her adoption fee does not even come close to covering her Vet bills, but we care more about her getting a great home) She is UTD on all shots, spayed & on Heartworm preventive.

Peaches is learning everything for the first time. Even how to give & accept love. She will now lay her head on my shoulder & give me kisses. She really is very loving & sweet & so cute the way she kicks her feet around when she gets happy & excited.

We believe her to be about 4-5 yrs. We wish for Peaches to be adopted locally as she is very special to us, but the right home is most important, so we will consider homes out of our area, as long as you agree to give us frequent updates.

If interested in Peaches contact us at TLTCokey@aol.com or call 636-931-6785. Located in Festus, MO

"Billy Budd"

Billy came to SPIN with his little sister Hannah, happy little puppies, somewhere in the 2 month old range. Billy Budd loves to play with his sister and do Pyr puppy things. We are working on potty training, however, as young as he is the art isn't perfected, but he is trying.

Billy has double dews which indicates he is a purebred pyrenees. Billy is a a bit shy but we expect he will recover from that fairly quickly. He is a talker and will come and vocalize to notify you that he needs attention. He is thin and needs some weight, but we also expect to take care of that. He has had his first set of shots. It will most likely be at least a month before he is able to be neutered, so it will be some time before he will be ready to go to his forever home. In the meantime, anyone interested in making this sweet little boy their own would be welcome to come and visit anytime they wish. He is being fostered in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.

Every dog who leaves the SPIN program is UTD on all vaccinations, HW negative and on preventative, and spayed or neutered.

"Hannah"

Hanna is quite the little girl! She is what we refer to as "a pistol". She is a typical pyr puppy who loves people, is quite outgoing, full of puppy play and the joys of life. Chewing is her favorite activity, and that includes chewing on her brother Billy, (or anything else that comes near her mouth.) Another of her favorite activities is chasing leaves out in the back yard. Everything is so new and exciting to her.

We are working on house training Hanna. She is doing as well as can be expected at her age and is beginning to catch on to the process. Hanna is not as large as her brother Billy. She is very thin and needs to gain some weight. She has double dew claws so we believe she is also purebred pyrenees.

Hanna will not be ready to go to her new home until she has been spayed and has received the rest of her vaccinations. She has had her first set of puppy shots. She will be available for parental visits if there is someone who would like to consider making her a part of their family. If you have a place in your heart for this little ball of fur, who will grow up to be a big furball please contact us.

Every dog who leaves the SPIN program is UTD on all vaccinations, HW negative and on preventative, and spayed or neutered.
