"Princess"

|
Princess is a 3 year old blonde pekingese girl that was dumped at a shelter when her owner died. She is an adorable peke girl with a nice big wrinkle on her nose and a very flat face. She has a nice disposition but we don't know if she has ever spent any time with young children so we are looking for a home without kids for her. She is leash trained and loves walks. She is perfectly housebroken, spayed and up to date on shots.
Princess is good with cats but does not like to share her treats with other dogs. If you are looking for an adorable loving companion, Princess may be the girl for you.

"Carly Simon"
|
Carly Simon is a retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She has lived in a cage all her life. She was never properly socialized as a puppy and never had a lot of interaction with people. Now she is looking for a home where she can be a house dog. It is a happy, exciting time in her life but still she needs someone with patience, understanding and a commitment to making a home for her.
Carly is six years old, she is a small size black and white shihtzu girl. She is becoming friendly and learning to go on newspaper. I don't think it will take much to housetrain after papertraining. She will be spayed and up to date on shots and have a dental before going to her new home. No small children please. She is a happy active dog, not much of a barker.
Carly Simon's adoption fee is $250 to our rescue medical fund and an approved application. Contact bonnwright@aol.com for more info on Carly. She is a doll. Shihtzus are hair dogs and do not shed.

"Lydia"
|
Lydia is seven year old girl pekingese, an albino in color. White with very pale violet eyes. She has no black coloring so she has a pink nose. She is quite unique looking. Like a little gremlin. She is a small size and loves people. She is however very protective of her treats and food dish and will take no crap from any other dog. So a home without small children or other dogs would be great.
Lydia is a real cuddler and will make a wonderful loyal companion for someone. She likes walks but with her short legs, cannot go too fast. She was a lap warmer for many years to her owner who passed away and left her without a home. Lydia is a real sweetheart and is looking for someone to take her in and provide her with a loving home for the rest of her years. She is housetrained, spayed and up to date on shots.

"Nikita"
|
Nikita is approximately two years old and was left behind when her owners moved. The neighbors took her in and called us, telling us that she had been loose for weeks.
Nikita is a people lover and very friendly. Just an angel girl. She weighs about forty pounds. Heartworm negative. She looks like a husky, australian shepherd mix.
If you can give Nikita the home she deserves, let us know. She can sit and shake, respects the older dogs (does get along with them currently), does not bother the cats thus far and I believe housetrained (she cries to let you know when she wants out). She is for sure people friendly.

"Shelby Lynne"
|
Shelby may be a pup that was taken away from her mother way too early. She is lacking in social skills but will learn to trust one or two people. She is loving and affectionate once she gets to know you, but will never do well with strangers or small kids. She is fair with other dogs and cats but not too many. She is a tiny thing, only weighs in about four lbs.
Shelby is two years old and was an owner surrender that was not getting along with very small children in the household. She is spayed and up to date on shots. Quite adorable. She is crate trained and house broken.
Shelby needs a forever home this time. She lost the only home she ever knew and it was very hard on her but in the long run will be for the best. Shelby's adoption is a $250 donation to our rescue medical fund. Contact us for more info on Shelby, she needs a quiet home.

"Bobbie Gentry"

|
Bobbie is an 18 lb cockapoo female just released from a commercial kennel. She is approximately five years old and is a solid gold color. She has a nice temperment and is not a barker.
Bobbie has lived in a cage all her life. She was never properly socialized as a puppy and never had a lot of interaction with people. Now she is looking for a home where she can be a house dog. Everything is new to her, including being loose in a house, leashes and collars and getting attention from people that want to pet her and play with her. It is a happy, exciting time in her life but still she needs someone with patience, understanding and a commitment to making a home for her.
Bobbie is a friendly dog and genuinely likes people, I think she will be a wonderful pet after a short transition. She will be spayed and up to date on shots before going to her new home.

"Tally"

I'm a veterinarian in Nevada, and Tally was presented to me two weeks ago for euthanasia!! Her "constant companion" human was heading to Germany for college. She is a Golden Retriever mix, 5 years old and spayed. She is the definition of the word sweet, and I would love to keep her but I already have 4 big dogs. She EXPECTS to go everywhere with her human, but is NOT destructive if left behind. She is OK with other cats and dogs as she totally ignores them (she really acts as if she believes herself to be human). She would be a phenomenal companion dog for a human, but I would advise AGAINST a home where she is expected to be a companion for another dog!! She weighs 52 lbs., is fully vaccinated and in excellent health.

Talk about bad luck...my former guardian was kicked out of her house. She couldn't take me with her to her new place, so now I'm on my own, looking for a new place to call home. Well, I'm not totally alone...I've got a few buddies here at HEP who have absolutely fallen in love with me (can't say as I blame them!).
I'm a very, very sweet girl with a really long tongue (Gene Simmons, watch out!). I love, love, LOVE to chase tennis balls, footballs, whatever! Just throw something for me to fetch! I also love cuddling and spending time with humans. I'm very good in the car and enjoy going for walks too! I'm looking for a forever home and hope that you will consider me!!!
For more information, please e-mail me at heprescue@hotmail.com. You can also visit us on the web at www.hep.petfinder.org and also call us at 248-788-5710 Thanks!
