Lace's life had not been easy. In the past she had been treated rough and unfairly. With that behind her, 8 year old, Lace is starting over. She is endlessly sweet and devoted. She gets along with other dogs and likes to play games of chase with them. She does need a owner who will give her good structure. Lace did not know anything not even her name. She is also discovering a world of soft beds, regular meals and kind pats. She is in excellent health, crate trained and learning basic obedience.

Due to my having so many other animals already I cannot keep him. He is current with all shots and tested negative for heartworms. He has gained some weight and loves to eat. I do NOT want him placed in a home for hunting. He is a PET. He likes to dig, so he would need a home with a securely fenced yard. He needs a permanent home with loving people who will continue to give him his yearly shots and vet care. He will be neutered before adoption. Adoption fee is $55.00.

Little Buddy was found guarding his elderly owners dead body. He is a little senior brown and white chihuahua. He likes to have his ears scratched and will attach to one or two people like most chihuahuas. He may have some arthritis in his back legs. Buddy loves to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. He needs a home where he can live out the rest of his years. He will make a good companion for an older couple or single person. Although he still has plenty of spunk, he would prefer a quiet home. No children.

Chewey is only a year old. He settled in here and has been a very good boy. We have no complaints about him. He gets along with other dogs and loves people. When strangers come, he loves to cuddle in their laps. If you can give Chewey a forever home, please let us know. He will make a very loyal companion. No small children please. Chewey will be up to date with shots and neutered before going to his new home. He is the biggest love bug here right now and he weighs in at less than five lbs.

 Tanner is a 9 year old, gold and white parti color shihtzu. He has a wonderful temperment, is healthy and very affectionate. He gets along with other dogs very well, just minds his own business. He is adjusting to the house here and doing fine. Tanner lost an eye to an ulcer and has a large cataract on the other. He sees very little. Tanner is a retired breeder dog and has been given a chance to be a house dog. He would like nothing better than to be someone's lap warmer right now. He does a good job of it and loves to have his ears scratched. Tanner weighs about 7 lbs, he is a miniature shihtzu, he has loads of hair and will need regular grooming.  Caboodle is an 8 month old toy poodle. He is a cream color and only weighs 4.25 lbs. He was a left-over puppy from a litter bred by a commercial breeder and when he didnt sell, he was given to our rescue. He is as sweet as can be, loves people and other dogs. Spencer is a senior chihuahua boy about 8 years old. He is healthy and well trained. Smart as the dickens and very loving. He was surrendered to our rescue because his owner took a new job and could no longer care for him. He loves to play ball or sit on the couch and lounge. He is housebroken, neutered and up to date on shots. No children please, we are unsure if he has spent time with any. Spencer weighs about 10 lbs and is white with gold spots.  Carmen and Cleo are two miniature dachshund females that need a new home. They are retired breeder dogs but Cleo is thought to have a seizure problem and her and her sister Carmen were released to my rescue. These two little dolls are just learning what it is like to live in a house. They love to play, and pull the squeaker out of their toys. I have seen no evidence of any type of seizure with Cleo but she will be vet checked before going to her new home. Carmen is the red one and Cleo is the black and tan. They are only two years old, spayed and up to date on shots. They weigh about 9 lbs each. They are not biters in spite of the fact they had not been properly socialized as puppies.
