"Tipsie"

What a cutie pie! Sweet Tipsie is a little 1 year old Cockapoo, about 12 inches tall, and weighs about 10 pounds. She lived with a two-year old child for several months and was good with him, and she lives with other dogs and cats now and gets along fine with them. She likes to play fetch, and she knows how to sit and walk on a leash, but she could use a refresher course. She's house trained with supervision and crate trained. She has a bit of separation anxiety if left for long periods and will chew when anxious, so it would be best if she could go to a home with a "stay at home" mom or dad.

"Jackson"

Jackson was found suffering from injuries caused from a botched home-made neuter job!! He is a sweet boy...about 20" at shoulder, apx. 45# and is about 8 months old. He's good with other dogs, kids, and cats. Would like a fenced yard and active family.

"Sunny"

Sunny is a Golden Lab (maybe purebred?) about 6-7 weeks old (as of 5/12/03). She is an incredibly beautiful puppy and will most likely grow to about 40-50#.

"Petey"

Petey was dumped in a local grocery store parking lot,but he doesnt seem to hold it against the human race. We think hes an Am. Eskimo or Samoyed mix. As of 5/13/03 hes about 7 weeks old and is an adventurous, confident puppy. Hes great with other dogs and cats. He will make you laugh constantly with his antics.

"Missy"

This adorable girl is Missy, a 2 year old, spayed female St. Bernard. She is super good with dogs, cats and kids of all ages. She has been taught not to jump and she is house broken. She stands about 25" inches at the shoulder and weighs about 90 pounds--so she is smaller than the average St. Bernard. She loves people and especially loves children. She would make an excellent family dog.

"Kipsie"

This beautiful girl is Kipsie, a 2 year old spayed female, Boxer/Border Collie Mix. She stands 27" tall at the shoulder and weighs 50 pounds. Kipsie is very well trained and well behaved. She knows all the basic commands. She is housebroken and is good with kids and other dogs. She is OK with cats, although she will chase them if they run--but this is only in --------------fun.

"Heidi"

"Heidi" is almost 9 months old (born 9-8-2002), spayed, shots current, dog door and crate trained but not quite totally reliable on house training. Heidi is good with kids, other dogs, not sure about cats yet and has a lot of puppy energy!! She can jump surprisingly high (picture a dog on a pogo stick) and is just a wonderful, happy, loving little "long dog". She is equally content in romp or lap mode.

If you are an active family, check out this little gal. She may be just what you are looking for in a snuggler and hiking buddy!!!

"Gadget"
"Gadget" is a 9-12 month very mixed breed pup, 12" tall who weighs a whopping 11 pounds! He is neutered, shots current, house trained, good with other dogs and all humans. He is playful, loving, eager to learn and please. He is also a very lucky little pup and has survived Parvo. He had only been here a week or so and was very subdued but when he quit eating, he got a quick trip to the Vet. Within a short time after arriving there he "exploded" with diarrehea and tested positive for Parvo. He came through the treatment with flying colors and is now ready to find his own special home.

If you are looking for a small, active, loving little dog, give little Gadget a second look. He is a wonderful little guy and is small enough to take everywhere you go!

"Ming & Soo"

Special needs seniors! Ming is going blind, Soo has collapsing trachea

"Ming (left)& Soo (right)" are 2 great, 11 year old Pugs, 15 and 17 pounds, now spayed, shots current and sporting clean, shiny teeth, though fewer than they had on arrival. They are house, dog door and crate trained and are really great little girls. They are usually found sleeping in a "pile" with one being used as a pillow.

Due to her vision problems Ming does not walk well on a leash until she is familiar with her surroundings but once she has the layout fixed, she is one bouncy, goofy little Pug girl. Of the two she is by far the most outgoing so far.

Soo is less active though just as sweet and loving. Her cough from the trachea problem is keeping her healing slower than Ming's but she is eating with gusto now and will soon be back to her Pug waddeling self! Looking for a "matched pair" of sweet, loving dogs? Ming and Soo are your best bet ever!!

"Boo"
Special needs puppy! Crushed hip and pelvis!

"Boo" is an 11 pound, 7-8 month old, now spayed, shots current Dachshund mix puppy who appears to have lost the battle with a vehicle. She is smart, happy, bouncy, loving, gentle, fairly quiet and just a lovely little dog that needs a chance to get a great home for the rest of her life. She has a crushed pelvis and right hip that will need surgery once she is recovered from her spay. If he gets in there and discovers he really can't do what he needs to do to give her a useful leg, it will be amputated. Estimate for the hip surgery is "up to $400" if a way can be found to save her leg, a bit less if amputated.

If you are looking for a sweet, gentle little lap pup, Boo is your girl!

Update 5-2-03: Boo has had her operation and will need to heal for the next few weeks. She will need to stay off her leg for at least 10 days and will then be encouraged to use it to gain strength in that leg. We are hopeful she will have a good, useful leg with no pain and no arthritis later in life.

Update 6-14-03: Boo is more than ready for her new home and family. She is using her leg now when she trots as well as walking and is gaining strength every day! Come check out this great, active, loving little gal!!! She is looking forward to meeting you!!
