"Tazz"

Tazz - 8-10 years old, 8.5 pounds
This is the wonderful little Tazz man. We have a soft spot for this little guy because he had it pretty rough before coming to us. He was neglected and abandoned but is now learning to trust through the love he's receiving in his foster home.
Tazz is an adorable and small little Yorkie boy who is totally irresistable. A recent adopter commented that his pictures don't do him justice - he is great! Tazz gets along great with all other animals but if he's playing and another comes along, he shies away. We know that he would thrive as an only dog and that is what we want for him. "Ollie"

Ollie is a Male, 8-9 years old, neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped. There is some confusion on breed -- his microchip papers say Silky Terrier but his vet records say Yorkie Mix, personally I'd say silky/yorkie mix. Seems to be great with small kids but does nip at adults if he feels threatened.

"Toby"

Toby is a male Miniature Pinscher whose owners worked too much and didn’t have time to care for him properly. From persuasion I got his owners to sell him to me so that I could show him some love and find him a forever home.
Toby is 1 1/2 years of age, weighs 12 pounds and is black and tan. He up to date on shots and is neutered and is now ready for his new "forever" home.
He has a wonderful personality, and loves to cuddle with you all the time if you let him. He is not hyper or much of a barker and gets along great with other small dogs, but gets jealous if you give the other dog too much attention. He isn’t into cats at all and will chase them. He plays well inside but will quickly run out of the door if he’s not on a leash. I prefer to place him in an adult and older children’s home only. Because his owners were gone so much he wasn’t house broken, but now in my care he has come a long way.

"Alaskie"
Hi, My name's Alaskie. I've been stuck here at the Elkhart County Humane
Society for a while now. I can't wait to find my 'forever home', though I
have made friends with a girl who works here. She told me she wishes she
could take me home, but she doesn't have any more space. But she did promise
me that she would try to find me a home before my time runs out at the
shelter. I don't get along well with cats, and sometimes I get jealous of
other dogs being in my house. It's just because I want all of the attention!
I would be a great dog for someone who doesn't have a dog yet and wants a
'best friend' to bond with. I can't wait to meet you!

"Hunter"

Hunter is a Walker Coon hound male about 8-9 months old. This boy was due to be put to sleep Fri. Dec.17.04 however we rescued him from the shelter and now he is looking for a loving family to call his own.
Hunter has a very loving disposition. He does well with other dogs, women, and men. He is most happy when you are scratching his ears!! His only wish for Christmas is a new & loving family where he will always be loved and never have to spend another day in a shelter!!

"Willie"

Willie is a 2 year old, 14 pound, red with black mask male. Date of
birth -- July 8, 2002. This family adopted Willie over a year ago, and was
returned to rescue because their large dog does not like small dogs --
thus -- Willie now has one eye.
Willie, upset with the addition of a large dog added to the family, forgot he was housebroken -- this will need to be worked on by anyone adopting him. We prefer to place him in an adult home
with NO large dogs.
Willie has all his shots, is heartworm negative and is neutered.

"Tia"
Tia is a corgi mix, about 10 lbs, 9 years old. Tia is a wonderful little "pocket dog" who loves to be around people. She will be your best friend and follow you everywhere. She is full of love and doesn't ask for much in return...just a tiny little spot on the sofa and the your bed to snuggle close.
Tia was found by a concerned business owner in a bunch of bushes. She is horribly thin and needs to be plumped up some more. Her appetite is good so it shouldn't take too long. She's pretty much all ribs right now. Tia likes to be around other dogs and cats but doesn't really play with them. She likes the company of people and animals. She is very quiet and sweet. She quickly got the hang of going for walks on the leash. At first she was hesitant but now she sits by the front door ready and waiting for her turn to get her leash hooked up to her collar. And loves to snuggle and when you hold her she will hug you tightly and rest her head on your shoulder.

"Alice Blue"
Alice is an approximately four year old chihuahua girl rescued from a commercial kennel. She is looking for a life as a house dog after living her entire life so far in a cage. She is a small chihuahua, silver blue in color with a white stripe on her head. She weighs about five lbs. She is shy of people but with love and attention will blossom into a wonderful companion for someone. She is cute as a button. We are housetraining her to newspaper.

"Sally"
NON SHED.... Long Tall Sally is a five year old small poodle girl with very long stick legs. She has a slight build and could probably use a few lbs.
