"Scruffy"
Scruffy is a male, German Wirehaired Pointer (mix?), approximately 2-3 years old. He is friendly, lovable, and amenable. He likes to play but doesn’t fight a leash.
He would make an excellent alarm dog and a wonderful exercise companion. Vet has given a heartworm test, fecal test and has updated vaccines.
Scruffy was found wandering in my late Mom's neighborhood 3/17 during my Estate Sale. We put him and a female companion in the back yard there, but the female jumped the fence and escaped. Scruffy did not jump the low fence.
I use a wheelchair, and Scruffy is too big for me to handle by myself, or else I would keep him. Just take a look at him, you will fall in love.

"Bailey"
Bailey, a two year old neutered male Pointer/Australian Cattle Dog mix, is a strikingly handsome, wonderful family pet with very expressive eyes. Bailey’s owner unfortunately had to give him up due to unforeseen personal circumstances.
Bailey is an extremely gentle dog and has been well trained. He is housebroken, obedient, walks well on a leash, and good with kids. He would do well in a home with a submissive female dog.
Bailey sits for his leash to be put on, and knows how to give you his paw. He also loves belly rubs, walks, and rides in the car. Bailey easily becomes devoted to his owner and aims to please. He is a very sweet dog that does not have the intensity level of many ACD’s and their mixes. He is content to go on walks or just sit by your side.
Bailey is looking for his forever home and would love to have a fenced in yard. He will make a great companion dog! He is currently being fostered on Long Island, NY. If you are interested in adopting Bailey, please call Barbara at (516) 565-0025 or e-mail BarNord@optonline.net.

"Skye"
|
Skye is a 7 yr old spayed, female husky/bordercollie cross. She is very sweet, loving, and cuddly. She is great with people, has very low confidence with dogs, (that should change in a great home where she is given lots of love) is a bit obsessed (not dangerous) with cats and is in the process of training with cats, and is progressing well. She has a lot of energy, and needs a lot of love and excersise.
Looking for a home, with the energy to walk/run her every day, where she will be an indoor dog, part of the family. Would be best for an older couple, but not absolute. For information contact info@zendogs.ca She is located in Vancouver BC Canada, but can be shipped to the right home.

"Willow"

|
Willow's story is a sad one. Her owner was at the shelter at the same time we were and he was dropping her off because he "didn't have time for her." The shelter informed him that she would be euthanized immediately due to her age (she is 10). When we heard that we had no choice but to intervene on her behalf. We saw Willow's sweet temperment and physical beauty and decided to give her a chance. We stopped the process of her being sent to her death and instead took her in. She came into rescue full of matts, scared, and sad.
Willow is now happy, clean, and searching for a family who will love her for her many remaining years. Willow is great with other dogs and she ignores the cats. She turned her nose up to the other small animals in her foster mom's home. She is happiest snuggling with the kids or getting her belly rubbed.
If you think you have it in your heart to love Willow like she deserves, please call so she can meet you. Willow is spayed, up to date on shots, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. For information on Willow please contact Pawfect Pets Rescue, Waukesha, WI at pawfectpetsrescue@yahoo.com or at 262-549-9989.

"Ada"
|
Ada is a typical Heinz 57. You can see at least 4 breeds in her and maybe
more. She is Shepherd/Hound/Lab/Doberman+ mix. Ada is housetrained and has ben spayed. She
loves to be around people and would be good with children 10 plus. She is
in need of obedience training. She does like to run and would need to have
a fenced in yard. She is very picky about the dogs she likes so she should
go to a home without other dogs. Or with dogs who don't mind being picked
on.
Ada loves squeaky toys and she loves to play fetch. She does not need
to be crated in a house when she is left alone. She doesn't cause damage
running loose although she may dig through the trash if her nose leads her
there. She is a good watchdog and will bark if people knock on the door.
She also loves car rides. She has lived with cats but tends to torture
them by chasing them.
Ada has alot of energy and she may be a good
candidate for agility. She can clear a 4 foot fence with no problem.
Agility and obedience lovers, this is the dog for you. She also loves to
cuddle! When Ada is away from the shelter, she is on the mellow side. She
just loves attention. She is much more well-behaved when not at the
shelter. Please adopt her and find out what a wonderful dog she is. Her
adoption fee has been reduced to $60 plus tax in hopes she can find a
forever home quickly.

"Katie and Bison"
Katie and Bison are two elderly Aussies looking for a new home to call
their own. Their original owner left them with a roommate when she moved
out, then never came back to get them. Unfortunately, the roommate was
unable to keep them and they ended up in a shelter.
Katie is 8 years old and still energetic, although very overweight. She is
currently on a diet and exercise program to slim down to a more appropriate
weight. Katie is a black tri with a soft, gentle face. She is spayed, up
to date on shots and heartworm negative. She is gentle, likes people and
is good with cats.
Bison is a 11 year old male, black with some merling. He is developing
cataracts, but he doesn’t allow that to slow him down. He is very calm,
gentle, likes kids, good with cats and loves to go for car rides. Bison is
afraid of thunderstorms and due to the cataracts is startled if he doesn’t
know you are there. His new family will have to be understanding of these
issues. Bison is a little overweight also, but should slim down with some
added exercise. He is up to date on shots, heartworm negative and will be
neutered prior to adoption.
Both dogs love to be petted, groomed and like to take long walks. They
enjoy being outside and do well in the house but we do not know if they are
completely housetrained. Katie particularly prefers the outdoors to being
in a house, while Bison is happy wherever he is.
It is preferred that they go to the same home since they have been together for most of Katie’s life. However, adopting them out to separate homes will be considered. They have been returned to the shelter and are in urgent need of a new home.

"Junior"
|
Junior is a neutered, black and white American pit bull; he is seven almost eight years old. Junior has been pampered his whole life and is a big baby. He is very affectionate and likes to be around people. He knows basic commands and learns quickly. He is house broken and is very good about letting you know when he needs to go out. His only bad habit is that he likes to sleep on furniture. He is a very healthy dog and is current with all his shots and heartworm. We live in Jackson, WI, approximately thirty minutes north of Milwaukee. We are looking for either a permanent or foster home for Junior.

"Jane"
|
Jane is a 4 year old beagle. After spending her early years hunting rabbits and having beagle puppies, she is ready to become a full-time house pet! Under no circumstances will Jane be adopted out as a hunting dog.
Jane is very affectionate and loving; she gets along well with other dogs and even cats, but would do best in a home without other small, rabbit-like animals. Jane would like to have a fenced yard for play, but primarily she wants to stay indoors with her people. She is crate trained.
Jane is up-to-date on vaccinations and is heartworm free. Jane's adoption fee of $200 will include cost of spay. For more information, contact Sister Mary Winifred at sistermw@bwave.com

"Braveheart"
|
Braveheart is a little Pekingese boy given to me by a vet that made the previous owner give
the dog up. The owner failed to protect the little dog from a larger one that he owned even after the eyes had been popped out in attacks. Finally little BraveHeart was brought in with both eyes hanging out and they had been that way for too long for them to be put back. This little fella had to have his eyes removed, both of them.
The vet treated this dog, neutered him, took care of his fleas, vaccinated and heartworm checked him all at her own expense. Then they called me to see if I could find him a decent home. He has suffered enough in his short life. BraveHeart is a small size pekingese, boy, he has a wonderful temperment and is housebroken. He is not a barker, doesn't cause any trouble. Just a sweet little dog looking for a place where he can live with people that will keep him safe and love him.
Blind dogs get along very well as long as you don't move the furniture. He gets around pretty good and is not afraid. If you have room in your home and heart for this little blind boy, contact bonnwright@aol.com.
BraveHeart is a wonderful pet and companion. He is ready to give all his love and loyalty to someone that will treat him kindly. Adoption fee $100 donation.
