"Wanda"

Wanda is a shy young adult who always gets passed over when adopters come to look. She doesn't jump up and demand attention. She is quiet and shy. She won't seem very friendly at first but if you spend time with her, she will warm up to you. You will see she is worth the effort and patience. She is the type of dog to have if you don't want an overbearing dog, but just want some company around the house. She has been waiting so long for a real home. Vaccinated and spayed, an English Shepherd/Terrier mix.

Friendly, loyal and affectionate, she is definitely a great family pet.

"Raymond"
Hello, there! My name is Raymond (alias “Cowboy Louie”) but often called Emmett after Emmett the clown. My foster parents say I’m next-to-perfect with a laugh around every corner when I’m present! I’m kennel-trained and hardly ever bark.

I look like a miniature black lab, am 1.5 years old and fully-grown weighing 23 lbs. Of course, I am neutered and current with all my vaccines, with my second rabies vaccine due in mid-July, 2003. I have little piglet tendencies, so my foster mom limits my food to 2 cups per day but she says that my wellness health bars, organic apples & peanut butter, and my yummy organic fruits & nuts don’t count. I even like the taste of my heartworm tab and multivitamin… how great is that? Everyone says my glossy, jet-black coat and brown eyes shine because of all the good things I eat. My favorite meal is breakfast. o you put plain yogurt on your cereal too?

As you may have guessed, I’ve never met a food or toy that I didn’t like. My favorite thing to do during the day is run and play with the six large dogs that my foster parents have and call their own. That’s what I want the most ~ someone to love me forever. My foster mom tells me everyday, “Don’t worry Cowboy Louie. Some day soon your photo will touch a heart that cannot live without you. You’ll see!”

"Chica"

My name is Chica, at least that is what they call me now. I was abandoned and am not able to tell anyone how that happened, but I am safe now and very much loved. I do want to find a home of my own with a warm lap to curl up on. I'm about 10 years old I think, and only weigh 3.25 lbs. I will be fully vetted before I'm sent to my new home. They say you should fill out an application at http://www.geocities.com/ekmdogs/onlineapplication.html if you are interested in adopting me. They will also be doing a homevisit and require an adoption fee to help cover my doctor bills. BTW, I'm mostly blind, so I need a home with not too much activity. I can't be placed in a home with young children. Please, I want a home to call my own!
