"Major"
|
- Black male w/rust markings
- 3 years old. 95 lbs.
- Neutered.
- Natural Ears. Docked tail
- House trained
- Micro chipped
- Great with children
- Not good with other dogs
- No exposure to cats
- Current on all vaccinations and heartworm medications
This poor Doberguy was turned into the shelter by his owners. The owners felt he and his brother were getting into too much trouble. His brother was beating up on Major as is evidenced by the scar marks on his ears.
This darling Doberboy will make a wonderful family companion. He loves everyone he meets and is so willing to please. He is the typical "velcro-Doberman - wants to be where you are. He knows to "sit" on command and is presently working on "lie down." He will "wait" before going out a doorway. He loves riding in the car, but needs to see out the windows so he doesn't miss anything. He especially likes to put his front legs on the console and rest his head on your shoulder. He loves to chase squirrels and chip munks and will also alert you to strangers coming onto the property.
He has a special way of demanding your attention, and wants to be loved and fawned over all the time. He loves going for walks, and walks quite easily on lead, though he will pull if he sees a chipmunk! He's very good in the house, only wanting to settle down on his doggy bed that needs to be close to his human.
In spite of his history, Major (League) has been absolutely wonderful in our care and is an extremely outgoing and congenial dog. He adapts very quickly to new situations and loves to play; but anytime you ask for a "kiss", he's very obliging. He loves to play with all toys, and will carry them around the exercise area showing them to all the other dogs! This Doberguy needs a "pal" and wants an owner that has lots of love to give him!

"Rigsby"
- Red male w/rust markings
- 5 years old. 100 lbs.
- Neutered.
- Ears cropped and tail docked
- Crate trained and housebroken
- Micro chipped
- Good with older children
- Good with female dogs
- Has lived with two cats
- Current on all vaccinations and heartworm medications
This beautiful Doberboy was sadly given up by his owners because they could not give him the attention he needed. He is very well mannered and always the gentleman along with being extremely handsome.
He has basic obedience training, and knows to "sit", "down", "heel", and "stay". He's the perfect gentleman while riding the car and really does love his "outings."
He's interested in cats, but usually just sniffs and walks away from them if they do not run. He is a little spoiled, though, and will get up on the couches in the house.
He has a lot of love to give and really is a velcro-dog. He is very affectionate for a male Doberman and will literally wash your face with kisses if you give him a chance.

- 4 years old. 75 lbs.
- Neutered.
- Natural Ears. Docked tail
- House trained
- Crate trained
- Micro chipped
- Good with older children
- Not good with other dogs
- No exposure to cats
- Current on all vaccinations and heartworm medications
Brando has been living with the folks who adopted him from rescue nearly two
years ago. Unfortunately, they can no longer keep him.
This very handsome Doberguy will make a wonderful family companion. He is
very affectionate and so willing to please. He shows it by putting his head in
your lap to get attention. He is the typical "velcro" Doberman - wants to be where
you are. Otherwise, he's full of energy and always eager to learn new things.
He knows the commands "sit," "down," "shake," "off (as in people or the
couch)," "crate," "catch (for treats)" and is working on "stay" and "come."
He needs some leash work to stop the pulling, however he does look forward
to look walks with his humans. Ask
him to go for a ride in the car, and he'll meet you at the door. He does
try to guard his human and car by barking at joggers or bicyclists
approaching either.
Brando is an extremely happy-go-lucky kind of Doberguy. All he needs is a
family who will shower him with love and attention. Just look at his
expression and it will make you want to kiss and hug him for the heck of it!

"Fancy Pants"
|
- Red female w/rust markings
- 8.5 years old - 80 lbs.
- Spayed
- Beautiful Show-Cropped ears - Tail docked
- House trained
- Micro chipped
- Good with older children
- Great with male dogs
- Not good with cats
- Current on all vaccinations and heartworm medications
This is a very sad rescue turn-in story. The family is unable keep this beautiful Dobergirl anymore. She's been with them since she was a puppy and can no longer stay at the home she's known her entire life. The couple who owned her was in their 80's when they brought her into the family. The gentleman had a stroke many years ago, and would sit outside on the porch
petting Pansey all day long. He passed away in January, leaving the wife, who is too fragile to take care of the Doberman. The daughter decided to board Pansy at the vet's office once her father passed away. Finally, at Easter time, the family found Doberman Rescue and turned Pansy over to us. Because we have no empty foster homes, we've had to kennel her since that
time. This is an extremely long time for a house pet to be in a kennel, manifested by her level of stress, she's begun licking and chewing at her legs and sides.
She's a very laid laid-back Dobergirl and really will do anything you ask. She actually waits for her daily orange-slice (candy) each day! Sometimes she'll play with other dogs through the fence and other times she'll bark at them out of jealousy. She has a very loving personality, but most times would rather have her humans all to herself! She's been an only dog all her life and would best be placed in one-dog home.
She loves to be outside in the fenced exercise yard, enjoying the sunshine, and is still frisky and fun-loving when left by herself. Loves to play fetch with her balls or chew on a bone, roll in the grass, and truly has lots of energy for a Dobergal her age. She's had basic obedience and knows to "sit," "heel" and "stay." She loves going for walks and is strong enough to pull on the lead if excited to get somewhere when first venturing outside. She's very good in the house, never destructive, never chews, doesn't bark unnecessarily, and stays off the furniture. She lives to sit beside someone and have them pet her all day. She will make a wonderful companion.
Loves to go for car rides, and will readily jump in the back of any SUV with little encouragement. She's beginning to show signs of aging due to a stiff hip when first arising. Pansey especially needs special hugs and cuddles to know she's loved - wait until you see her do a "Dobergrin" in return. She has a special way of demanding your attention .....stop petting her and she will encourage you to start again by gently touching you with her right
paw. She has many loving years to share with the right family!

This beautiful Doberguy was sadly given up by his owner who felt he could not give him the attention he needed. He is very well mannered and always the gentleman along with being extremely handsome. He has a beautiful, shiny black coat.
He has been obedience trained and knows to "sit", "down", "stay" and "watch em˜. He's the perfect gentleman while riding in the car and really does love his outings with his humans. He'll even get his leash and bring it to you when he wants to go out for a walk.
He has lived with his owners in many different homes and loves nothing better than lounging around the house watching t.v. However, put a small pool in the backyard and he's the first one in it! He has a lot of love to give and really loves to be close-by his human companions. He is always ready to play and especially loves to chase tennis balls and the waterspray from a hose. However, once settled, he will put his head in your lap waiting for Doberpats.
He desperately needs a "pal" and a family to call his own.

"Spot"
|
Spot, a 10.5 year old Husky/German Shepherd/doberman mix, healthy, neutered male, is accustomed to a
fenced in backyard but behaves himself in the house. He has a bouncy
personality and loves to play and carry his bowl around the yard like Snoopy.
Spot is an excellent watch dog. He would do best as an only child. He is
not accustomed to being around other animals. However, he is a very loyal
and protective dog.

backyard but behaves himself in the house. He has a laid back personality
and is very affectionate. He is an excellent watch dog and would do best as
an only child. He is not accustomed to being around other animals. He is
very loyal. The downside, he requires a little extra care because of
allergies. The previous owner would be willing to help subsidize his care if
she knew he would be well taken care of.
